Personally, when i hear Saber/Sabre i think of Fencing. Other than Femme from that one ryuki movie there hasn't really been any Fencing themed kamen riders/sentai right? I don't know how a belt would work in that context though. I mean, the actual weapon itself could easily have a gimmick for henshin items like Akira's light tube thing from Toqger and the ryusoulger sword but i can't really think what gimmick would work with the belt for a fencing thing. fencing masks that attach like lockseeds? tiny toy swords like drive's cars?

So that's what? two? since 1971? that were both one-offs in side content? I think it could be a pretty cool concept to tide us over before 2022 and i'm inevitably disappointed that Kamen Rider Shinobi isn't actually happening.

Just checked the KR wiki. In addition to Femme and Duke, there was also Kamen Riders Saga and Kiva-la.

No, I just did a quick run though of the category pages for riders by series. Also, just checked again and it looks like X and Black RX had rapiers as well.

There is a difference between a sabre and a rapier, they are different types of swords Kivalas is a sabre for sure.

And the revolcane is definitely a lightsaber.
