Shout Factory
Overtime is not subbing Saber because Shout Factory licensed it. Are you still going to sub it?

Re: Shout Factory
That's not what they said. They think there's a chance it might be licensed by someone like Shout, judging by previous licensing efforts.

Shout Factory hasn't licensed Saber.

What's over time?
Yeah, we're going to do it. I just need to assemble a team to take care of it while I back off and work on some projects that are more interesting to me

Overtime is a pay structure that involves having to pay more per hour for an employee on hours worked above the allocated for a week.

Re: Shout Factory
I'm kind of disappointed that TV Nihon hasn't come out with the first episode of this, given how prompt they were at subbing each new Zero-One. But then, it's not like I'm paying anyone for it, so I'll just watch on someone else's subs instead.

Re: Shout Factory
Yeah, it's a bit of a trouble project to get off the ground this time. I'm working with some new people and we want to run it by qc a few times to get the polish done. Good things are worth the wait (hopefully?)

Re: Shout Factory
As a Brazilian member in this forum, I thing this post is a good place to share my opinion on something: I understand your position to not upload licensed material. I can't say I completely agree with it, but I totally understand! However, given that you do subtitles in English, it is available for a wide variety of people out there. Many of them are not american! So, sometimes, when you ban a series from the website because it has been licensed in America, you are also stopping people from other countries, in which the series is not licensed, from watching it. And believe me, it is hard to find Tokusatsu series subbed in Portuguese. And when you do find... the translation is just trash!
I'm not complaining about anything, I love TV-Nihon, that's why I always download Toku from it! I'm just saying that you serve people from all over the planet, so maybe some thought about retracting series that are licensed in America, might be worthwhile. Unless your real fear is to get in trouble with the law, but I get the feeling it isn't.
That's it! Congratulations on your work for everyone envolved. It's just great material!!!

Re: Shout Factory
We understand Tokyo, but it truly is because of the law. As the majority of us are based in America, and our web servers are as well (this is the important part), we are beholden to American copyright law. This means when a series is released in America, we can get in big trouble if someone like Mill Creek sends us a Cease & Desist if we don't remove their licensed content.
I do understand it sucks when content has to be taken down and yet the official release is unavailable to you. That's why we try to give everyone plenty of notice so they can download it before it's gone.

Re: Shout Factory
Also, even if it is removed from the trackers here, nothing is truly gone from the internet once uploaded.
If you know where to look, you can find it.
