Help: The locations seen on the Train Set

Post by Ranmuke »

It has been bugging me a lot what are the iconic locations in the Diorama.

So far the ones I have Identified.
1. Red Japanese Castle is a recolored Himeji Castle
2. European Castle is the Castle Ludwig also known as the Neuschwanstein Castle
3. The volcano looks like Mt. Doom from LOTR.
4. The castle town walls look like a middle eastern town.

I would love to properly identify all the locations in the Train set and have not been able to find any articles in the internet talking about it.

Probably cause it's just a random set piece someone kitbashed together from regular retail models? There's not much to talk about since it doesn't serve any plot-related purpose.

I'd love to talk about it, that set is rad

Unfortunately, I don't know any details like that. But they did post a rough sketch of the model where the bay originally had a pirate ship, the lower left corner was originally going to have a lighthouse, and the base was originally going to be a giant book. Disappointed that didn't turn out:
