The gag of Vroom interrupting the time-stop scenes of their transformation was pretty good.

I love Kitagawa Tsutomu as Suu-san. You might remember him as the guy prancing around with a cape in Cutie Honey the Live. I hope to be as energetic as him at his age

The Kikainoid in the background make for good world building

Good episode to wrap up the prologue of the show. Both the team and the goal had been established.

The worldbuilding is progressing nicely for this sentai!

Now we know that Kaito's parents are still alive, and that Ijrude has been mooching off their ideas in order to appease his master. While I'm talking about Ijurde, is it just me or does he remind anyone else of a past Sentai/Power Ranger villain? I can't place my finger on it, but he seems like a cross between Frax (Power Rangers TIme Force) and Gaigark (Engine Sentai Go-Onger)

I hope the CGI screen gets done away with after this episode. It's so blindingly garish and really takes you out of the episode.

As much as I love Dairanger, I still don't understand how a low blow counts as a heroic move. Almost expected Boxing World to say something about that, considering his motif.

I like the individual mecha fights, but I can't wait to see how all five of the current mecha combine into one solid mech. I've been scouring the web to see if Toei has let that information slip to no avail on that front.

All in all, the gang's all together, and their goals are set. Now to see how the story plays out.

Just noticed something thanks to an image search on google. The Zenkai mechs combine in the same way the GGG machines from GaoGaiGar do. Not sure how that's going to affect things in the long run, but still, neat little tidbit.

Yeah, his face is very reminiscent of Kitaneidas:



This would be fitting both by how humerouse he is played right now and the fact that Kitaneidas also was the one to develop the growth juice for the Gaiark.

Also, I kinda want this to be the case since Go-Onger is my favorite Sentai

I'd say it's fairly likely that Ijirude is Kaito's dad.

What I find odd is that when they used the Dairanger gear, Zyuran got Shishiranger and Zenkaiser got Ryuranger instead of them mashing the colours up.

Vroom joining is the standard for "Good guy starts with the bad guys" scenario, but ont the whole this is fun, and I like that they are going straight into "finding the parents" and not dragging it to mid season.
My first guess was that the bride was a boxer, but then Take mentioned she is a karateka. For some reason the nun looked like a dude in a few of the scenes.

As for Vroom. I like the look, but don't care for the glasses, and I'm surprised he is the "tank" of the team since Zyuran seemed like he was going to be.

Shame they didn't do one more gun joke, but better that than Magine almost blowing her head off last week.

But Zoom said he saw, or heard their names, and that Ijirude hired him... Ijirude seems like the type that would keep the parents prisoner and siphon ideas off them to stay in the Big Boss' good graces.

I think they did though? It was a meta joke. You expect something wacky happening with the gun, but they tricked you, Vroom is the first Kikainoid to actually ask how to use it before shooting it. Set up expectation, set up expectation, set up expectation, pay off

I don't know if it really does. I mean, they're both types of martial arts, I guess?

Shouji/TenmaRanger was a boxer in Dairanger. That's probably it.

Now I really don't want to rate this series because I would rate this a 1, but that would be me praising it because this series is so wack, so garish, and so weird it can be enjoyed as camp. The mind splattering bad CGI, the weird incomprehensible mecha fights, the lack of face actors, the over the top overacting, this show might be so bad that it is good.

The show is so comedic that I'm absolutely loving it

Oh, and I noticed a mistake- at 10:54, Kinokotopia is written as "Kinotopia"
