Are these new Blades using the same script as the old ones, or have you reworked the translations?

The translations are different this time. On top of that, there are also some improved text/karaoke effects and insert songs are now translated.

Whelp, I guess this is my cue to start rewatching then.

Hopefully the Blade memes still hold up in 2017.

It's probably me, but.... ugggg..... the video is bad. Sure, I admit, I'm using the 720p versions, but it not that, it's the source material and how they filmed the series in the first place with the "video" look. I'm just used to the polish of the later series (Series 18-Kiva and later), so somewhere between Blade and Kiva, the production values improved and the production budget went up.

TVN's original releases of older shows like this were typically done at a time when codecs were maybe not as good as we have now, so it's nice to have a fresh set that's consistent. (IIRC Faiz changed codec like 4x in the first 30 episodes, I remember fighting to get my PS3 to play them.... Blade at least was all avi's.) But on the flip side you can't magically make the source material any better and wow this one was extra videotapey. I'm also not sure I'm really interested in rewatching them again...

I'm just saying this because I know this is all a labor of love for you guys. If you don't get a lot of downloads I don't want you to feel bad.

Ha, I don't think we really look at the numbers anymore. *Some* people watching is good enough for us.

Agreed. I mean, I freakin LOVE Ryuki (I know, not the series in question, but I'm behind on my Kamen Rider), but I'm not a fan of the video tape look. I do not know why Toei didn't shoot on film like Super Sentai.

That said, not TV-Nihon's problem. Thank you for redoing Blade. Also, didnt see Blade yet but going by TVN's HD Ryuki tests, some raws, the Dekaranger subs, and my copy of the Super Sentai 05-13 set, I know there's a little improvement. Not a lot but it was there for the other examples.

I love the 60fps, it makes every effect pop a bit more. I would love to see more of it!
