Re: Kamen Rider Blade: Missing Ace Directors Cut Released #2000
Still haven't watched the DC, I assume the new scenes all use the battle theme from the first half of the show?
...Why'd they stop turning it up to give love, damnit?! Did they run out of aces to play?

Spoiler
The hero's eventually going to win. But at what cost? Also,

happy 2000th release tvnihon you guys really do work hard. so what exactly is new in the directors cut i can't seem to find anything new. i do think the bit at the end credits is funny where eveyones wasted and passed out on the floor. oh btw where is the section where you discuss the crew of tvnihon and their work

i do believe that is one of the extras, a couple of fight scenes were also lengthened but its been a while since I watched the original so its abit hard to fully tell, but there is 17 mins of extra footageAeonRanger wrote:happy 2000th release tvnihon you guys really do work hard. so what exactly is new in the directors cut i can't seem to find anything new. i do think the bit at the end credits is funny where eveyones wasted and passed out on the floor.

*high-fives* That is a crazy coincidence.PHurricane wrote:Fantastic movie! Like Susan, I wrapped up watching the original series the day before the DC was released.
I finally got up the guts to watch this movie (I was going through withdrawal following the end of the series). I agree with take: The fight scene between Joker and Blade at the beginning was epic! (but not nearly as epic as Kenzaki getting his faced dunked in cake.)
Even though I'm disappointed at the alternate ending to the battle fight and Hajime getting the shaft by only appearing in the last half hour of the movie and you know, I really enjoyed seeing the Blade riders again and all of the ramped-up special effects that just weren't possible in the series (budget-wise). Everything was just really slick. I loved how the new-generation riders picked up card energy with their weapons, as opposed to it flying into their suits. I agree they were pretty extraneous characters, but I liked the dark look of their suits and their fighting styles.
By the end I started to feel like this movie could have just as easily been stretched out into a second Blade series... Did they ever seal the rest of the Undead?
I really miss Blade now. I feel even more disappointed by Decade's AU portrayal of Blade's world and the fact that they don't make sequels to series in Japan.
Hajime, how I miss you.

JUst a question though,
I've compared the movie version with the DC version.
I noticed that the file size of the movie version was larger than the DC version.
And....Why is that possible??

Re: Kamen Rider Blade: Missing Ace Directors Cut Released #2000
Anyone notice any cameos from Faiz.
The only one I'm sure about was Yuji Kiba/Horse Orphnoch as one of the guys interviewing Mitsuki (mostly because you guys pointed it out for us). Other possible cameos I'm not too sure about are Kento Handa/Faiz as the policeman chasing Amane, and Shuji Mihara/Delta as the other guy interviewing Mitsuki.
Anyway, congratulations on the 2000th release. I had already watched the movie before, but watching the director's cut seemed to make things more clear and thus enjoyable. Great job, and keep up the good work.

Wow, I was way off.
Edit: Looking back, I have no idea how I thought the policeman was Faiz. He didn't sound anything like Kento Handa's deep voice.

Re: Kamen Rider Blade: Missing Ace Directors Cut Released #2000
Well, I watched a few random episodes of it thanks to Cartoon Network, but I could only remember Mutsuki talking to himself and to his belt. I have seen the series ending, and I cried, yes. then again, I cried with Den-O's. o_o;;; I'm planning to watch it along with Faiz (or not) this summer, though.DrinkItDown wrote:You really should watch the series. Remember, the movie is an alternate universe. Everything that went down in the movie did not happen in the series. If the movie made you cry, the series ending will REALLY make you cry, and no, the movie will not have spoiled the ending of the series for you.

I think these are new scenes too beside the one I said last timetakenoko wrote:
So who spotted the new footage in the director's cut?
*Leangle spotted the whole Spade King being sealed part
*The conversation between Junichi and Kenzaki and Mutsuki and Tachibana were added
*I think Larc's death scene was new
*The Car raming few of those Roaches and Kotaro telling Kenzaki they know who joker is

Re: Kamen Rider Blade: Missing Ace Directors Cut Released #2000
It was an ok movie, not the best of the AU films but it was still ok. They certainly present some interesting idea's on how they could've ended the series. I'm actually glad that they decided to bring Jashin 14 back in Decade since it really doesn't get much of a role in the movie other than a uber weapon which really doesn't fit in with Blade's style.
