I think that she would be touched to know that so many people around the world cared about her. I did a more full translation of her wiki page.

In 1999 she was chosen for the show "Yume Ouentai"『夢☆おうえん隊』 and she was part of the idol group "Yumekko Musume" in the same show. Out of 500 people she was chosen for the lead role in the Sailor Moon Musicals. After that ended she was on Nippon TV "ウッチャンナンチャンのウリナ" and various variety shows.

In 2005 she was one of the heroines, Tachibana Hinaka, a regular character in "Kamen Rider Hibiki"

In 2007 she was scheduled to play Eponine in musical "Les Miserables" but she had to withdraw due to poor health. She was in and out of hospitals since then, June 18, 2008 at 4:08 she had complete heart failure leading to sudden death. She was 24

This really is sad. And this is only one week after another celebrity I like, Tim Russert, died. I'm going to cry. May both of them rest in peace.

News like this is never good to hear. Kanbe Miyuki's side stories were some of my favorite parts from Hibiki, particularly her time with Shingo Kawaguchi (Todayama / Todoroki). One of the things that truly made Hibiki stand out among other Rider series was that the quality of writing and acting actually made you care about the characters. It's a shame to lose any of them, particularly at such a young age. Miyuki will be missed, but she'd have been glad to know that all over the world, she won't soon be forgotten.

24 is far too young for such a wonderful actress.

Taken away, but her image will not be forgotten.

I wake up and read this and now I'm very upset. Miyuki Kanbe was one of the highlights of Hibiki for me as she was a gifted comic actress.

I really am saddened by this news. We've lost a real emerging talent.

So sad to learn that Miyuki Kanbe had passed away, especially at such a young age. Kamen Rider Hibiki was the first Toku series I got into big time. I loved the storyline & the characters. Hinaka was one of my favorite characters & Miyuki portrayed her very well. She was funny and very cute. May she rest in peace x

Personally I'm kind of shocked by how much this incident has affected me. It's not like she was a good friend or that I was an active follower in the events of her life, but I have been a fan of her for 8 years, which is a good third of my lifetime. Plus she was the same age as my little sister.

I wonder how her fans are reacting. If kids were 5-10 years old when they saw the musicals, surely they're 12-18 now.

It just amazes me how thoughts of this just kind of creep into my passing thought, like when I'm walking alone from work. Most of the feelings are that of shock and disbelief "she was so young, people that lively don't die like that at that age, etc."

I can't help but wonder what kinds of performances or shows she would have been in had she lived on, so there's feelings of loss too. I feel bad for her family to lose someone like that as well, I'm not sure if she was an only child or not.

A lot of it is me being surprised to be confronted in death in such an unexpected way. In my adult, thankfully, I haven't really known anyone close to me who passed away. In passing thought I find myself being shocked anew and analyzing it, like I'm looking for an answer that isn't there. Just stuck in a loop
