You expect Asumu to talk back to Sakurai Yuuto? Deneb would've shoved a basket of lollipops right up Asumu's butt.

i just realized (not really), that the director that came in the later half, really destroyed the flow, Asumu was destined to become an oni literally (yes I know I sound like I am in denial). Check this out (I know a lot of you have already noticed it):

Hitoshi Hidaka -> Hibiki
Iori Izumi -> Ibuki
Toomizo Todoyama -> Todoriki
Adachi Asumu -> A-Something-ki
Kiriya Kyosouke -> K-Something-Ki

Just out of curiosity, what do you think the oni names of Adachi and Kiriya would have been?

Hibiki's name wasn't always Hibiki? This is the first I've heard of it

As indicated with Todoroki, their -ki names are adopted once they become full Oni. They essentially forgo their old identities. What I don't know is where the real names of everybody but Todoroki come from, because they weren't mentioned in the series.

in one of the eps when Asumu is talking with Midori, you actually see the personal records of some of the oni, and "catch" their real names.

Didn't they mention that technically the rider takes over the name of the one before him? Was I imagining things? Todoroki for sure was supposed to be Zanki, but ended up picking a different name because he wanted Zanki to be able to still be able to be Zanki. I thought that Hibiki, as well, inherited the name and style from his predecessor. So if Asumu DID become a rider he would have been Hibiki as well because he was Hibiki's disciple.

I dunno. The whole series ended up a bit weird and screwed up so it's hard to say. I really wish I could have seen the whole series as it was originally intended. This one was my first and I really enjoyed it.

lol @ Kamen Rider Kabuki :lol:

Asumu should be an Oni. But I'm not that disappointed when he wanted to follow his own path.

Hibiki had no master. He was the first of his line, confusingly named movie notwithstanding. Hibiki became an Oni on his own, so I doubt he would have forced his name on whomever he trained.

Ahhhhh. I did not know that. Thanks dancer! But it has been 2 and a half (nearing 3) years since I last watched Hibiki, so it's not surprising that I don't remembered too many of the details. :lol:

Was this information from the TV show?

I know in the show they said he didn't have a master... least I remember them saying that.

i remember them saying that Hibiki was the fastest progressing oni who set records during his apprentice days. I do not remember them saying he had no master.
