Re: somthin weird
That's a Divx encoding error. Instead of re encoding the episodes, they simply subbed over it.

That or you need to lay off the weed.
I thought it was pink elephants that people saw when high, not pink shadows. o___O;

Pink elephants is alcohol.
And yeah, what? The episodes have to be reencoded to put the subs in, so I don't get the second post at all.

Did you check the CRC? The video may have been corrupted or something.

Re: somthin weird
Old thread, but it's not just him. I got that same glitch when I watched episode 14. The weird thing is, it only affects the video, not the subs: the pink part covers half the frame but not the subtitles in that half, as if the subtitles are on a different layer (which they are when you add them, it's as if it's just the original raw that's corrupted).
I couldn't tell you if I've changed any settings as has been suggested... these episodes have been on my external for ages, I only just got around to watching them again. I don't think it's just a codec problem. I don't know much about codecs, but in my experience, most playback issues associated with them can be avoided if you open the file in VLC, which I did... and the problem persists.
I'm gonna try downloading it again, to see if the file was just corrupted or didn't download completely. This crappy old tower messes up torrents like that from time to time.

Re: somthin weird
Definitely sounds like a codec issue. Probably a mix of that and the player not handling the file right. Would help if people mentioned what series they were talking about.

It's Yu-Gi-Oh! Season 0. Yeah, this is in a general help section now (an admin moved it here), but it was originally in that series' forum. That's where I found it, there's still a link there.

Re: somthin weird
I downloaded the lot again. Maybe it's a codec issue, maybe it isn't, but it's not an incomplete download or a corrupted file, because the problem persists.
Like I said, it's been a while since I originally downloaded these (so long ago that it was probably on one of my previous outdated, crappy computers), but I definitely don't remember this issue when I watched 1-13. Those earlier episodes weren't a different file type or something, were they? I have a class to get to right now, but I'll check those out later, see if they have the same problem. I'd test them on the PS3 as well, but the whole reason that I'm watching them on the computer rather than that is that the sound won't play back on the console (but that might be an incompatibility of some sort, since these are AVIs rather than the usual MP4s and other types I watch on there).
