Romaji for Tendou's sayings?

Post by hunter-urufu »

More specifically, his most used one "Walking the path of heaven, the man who will rule everything." Just want to know how to say it, to tease my japanese speaking friends. Thanks in advance!

"Ten no michi wo iki, subete wo tsukasadoru otoko."

Bear in mind he uses it in a kind of weird way that has no pronoun, so it requires the context of an introduction to not sound stupid. If you want to rig it to work in any situation you can stick an "Ore wa" on the front and all will be good.

Thank you. I'm assuming 'Ore' because that is the more dramatic way to say "I"?

More manly, really. The alternatives are the childish 'boku' or the feminine 'watashi'.

Cuter form of "watashi". Still feminine.

How is he saying "My name is..." it doesn't sound like the way I was taught to say it.

As Magenta explained, he's not even saying his name. Only from the context can people say, "Oh hey, he's explaining how to write the kanji in his name."

The first time he said it, he did say "My name is..." That's what I was asking about. It was at the end, rather than the beginning.

IIRC the first time he did that line and then just did a dramatically slow "Tendou... Souji." without any kind of explanation that that was his name.

It has, however, been a while.
