In light of the recent episode of Garo, I began to think. The Horrors kinda reflect human nature in a fashion. Think about it. In the first episode of the first season, we were introduced to the Horror Angry, a male horror (I would assume) that targeted weak women and ate them. When you look at it from my perspective, it seems like he was the way most men are portrayed in these times; hiding what they truly want/desire until a woman is weak enough to give it or they'll take it. Then there's Humpty from either episode 8 or 12. He kept himself shielded and hidden unless threatened or when he felt like killing someone/something. Classic example of a murderer. One of my personal favorites was the clock/watch horror, whom reduced his victims to dust. This one has to do with 'The Sands Of Time' thing and how all things eventually, in time, return to the dust.
Then again, I could just be talking nonsense. What do you guys think?

That's kind of the whole point. Horrors are demons that are born from a human's "yinga", their darkness and weaknesses... pretty much the explanation given by the series.
It gives the opening dialogue a lot more meaning as well. "Where there is light, shadows lurk and fear reigns." As long as humans have sins in their hearts, the battle will never end. Makai Knights will forever live out their lives as protectors.

Re: The 'Horror' of Humanity
There was an old Forum post (before they got wiped) of how many of the Horrors were actually based on demons, devils, and old evil gods from different mythologies. I know the first series was made up of such Horrors.
This season, it seems they are creating their own mythology, or using the 'negative desires' of humans. Although, we really don't know the names of some of them. Only two of them have actually been named by Zaruba. and far as I know neither of them are based on any mythology I know.

People say that the real world isn't black or white, its shades of gray. I prefer to think its a rainbow spectrum, when any color is dark enough, its black, when any color is light enough, its white. Yet, there is a spectrum of cultures and values.

Yeah, you can probably find that list on the wiki. Like the first Horror was named Anglay and is based on a real demon or something. The only name I remember was the first episode one, which was Cigarein or something which was clearly derived from cigarette.

Re: The 'Horror' of Humanity
The first series had Horrors entirely based on the evils of humanity, but they borrowed cool-sounding names from other mythologies. They had few if any connections with the demons they were named after.
