Creepiest Horror

Post by Kuchiri »

I watched all of Season 1 in almost one sitting. I was halfway through Season 2 then the Manhole Episode....Then I couldn't get any sleep that night for that episode only.

Yeah, fuck that episode hard. Really creeped me out. And I hate being startled so it just added to the whole creepy for me. Actually that's the last episode I saw.

I've killed so many horrors, I can't remember. Which episode number was that?

Manhole episode? 5 or 6 of Makai Senki.

It's episode 5. In both seasons, the episode 5 is focused in horror.

Really? I thought the wish one in season one was worst than the manhole one. Though the manhole was definitely one of the creepier horrors...

How about the doctor and nurses from S1 E4? Or the finger collector in S1 E8? Those were the creepiest to me.

I find the episode with the finger collector one of the best individual episodes. They give you a background for the girl and the bar with Chopin's music make an excellent mood.

I think the manhole cover because it contained a traditional J-horror movie style ghost. As we discussed just after the episode airs, she actually photobombs one of the early scenes if you look closely in the background.

After picking up GARO watching with Yami wo Terasu Mono and using the recent slowdown to archive binge through the old GARO stuff, I read this thread before starting Makai Senki. With all the attention the manhole episode was getting, I initially felt underwhelmed by the actual scariness, including the wife's non-horror ghost at the end. Then I recalled the mention of the Photobomb and decided to take a look at the scenes mentioned late at night. Bad idea. BAD IDEA. The night will be a long one.

My vote goes for that one in Season 1 that makes the clay sculptures and tortures them before eating the corpse, the one that Zero kills because Kouga can't cross into the distract.

Yeah that manhole horror freaked me out. Another one that freaked me out was when that thing was chasing little Kouga in episode 12. I got freaked out.
