Thank you for introducing me to all of this, Im sorry I am so new to this....
Anxious to participate,
Seems In set this up wrong. I did my best to follow the instructions Guide to setting up an fserve. During my test i apparently missed something and ended up offending the IRC.
This was never my intention.
My apologies #tv-nihon

We don't ban IPs, so if you're having trouble yet see other people downloading okay, it's probably on your end.

Re: Fserve help
were you trying to download or were you looking to serve files to other people?
If downloading you have followed the wrong guide, you need this guide viewtopic.php?f=4&t=2404

Re: Fserve help
ah, ok
typical things to check are having port 59 forwarded on your router to your pc to ensure that traffic can get to the intended target (if you are running your fserve on port 59, if a different port, youll have to use that one)
Making sure your local firewall on your pc is also configured to allow port 59, sysreset doesnt autoconfigure it
Making sure you have set the triggers right
Making sure the server is online
You can ask one of the ops to check it over, jen can be quite abrasive at times, so dont worry about her, its been a while since I wrote that so Im not sure on everything, but peeps in the channel will be able to help, just make sure its during american hours as more peeps are on during those hours

Re: Fserve help
DaiMomotar, I believe the problem was that you did not set your fserv to have silent ads only (see rules: viewtopic.php?p=59965#p59965)
In other words, your trigger was making regular public announcements in the channel

Re: Fserve help
On the File Server Triggers tab, the Trigger: Enabled & /CTCP features were checked.
Should the /CTCP feature be unchecked? (unlikely)
Ah, maybe its " SysReset > Servers Active > Silent with !list "
Also, any suggested away settings?
