The current Gundam series. Not sure if people in America can watch it, subbed, for free on youtube... But here's the link to the playlist on Gundam.info's official youtube channel. http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL ... FSLJL1r2XQ
I actually really like the series. It's different from the regular Gundam series; you don't have real Gundams but instead, Gunpla (Gundam plastic models) being controlled by a technology called Plavsky Particles. And since the Gundams are actually Gunpla, you get something like the SD Gundam G Generation games where you have a whole mix of Gundams from different timelines coming together.

Re: Gundam Build Fighters
Works fine for me and I live in Mass.
But yeah, while I'm a few eps. behind, I adore this show with my favorite part so far being the fight at the end of episode 4. Also, having Back-On do the OP is always welcome.

I'm enjoying it. I suppose because it isn't full of melodramatic angsty teenage rubbish. The subtle (and not so subtle) references to previous series are nice as well.
Not really digging any of the custom machines to buy the Gunpla so far though.

I love how every episode ends with a line (in the preview) from the previous series. These are the ones that stood out.Catastrophe wrote:I'm enjoying it. Episode 1: "Will I survive the school life?"
- I think it's a throwback to the first Gundam series' "Will I survive the battlefield?"
Episode 2: "I'm looking at the tears of time."
- Throwback to Zeta Gundam's "You will see the tears of time."
Episode 5: "Take flight! Gunpla!"
- Throwback to Gundam SEED's "Take flight! Gundam!" (Heck, the preview was even read by Sei's mother, whose voice actor (Mitsuishi Kotono) is the voice actor of Murrue Ramius in Gundam SEED.)
Episode 6: "Gunpla Battle, Ready, Go!"
- Throwback to G Gundam's "Gundam Battle, Ready, Go!"
Episode 9: "I feel like I'm dreaming!"
- Throwback to Gundam X's episode 19 title.
Episode 10: "Mission accepted."
- Throwback to Gundam Wing's "Mission accepted."
Anyone else can fill in the remaining episodes?
----------
I love the Gunpla actually. Planning to get some of the Build Fighter parts, like the backpacks and all, and modify some of them.

To a degree. 00 had elements of it, moreso in the second season. AGE had a repeat of Kira pacifistic bullshit.takenoko wrote:

Re: Gundam Build Fighters
I think it works well for those who prefer the "gunpla" aspect to the "story" aspect. It is a homage to all previous Gundam series, except for AGE , I haven't seen reference to it. It is a toy-battle genre, but at least the storyline is catchy, eventhough predictable.
The negative side is , we will need to face that all previous model used in the series is now have a Build Strike version, and it is supposed to be stronger due to customization. The positive side is for gunpla lover, more units to be package, under High Grade Build Fighter. And I looking forward for Wing Fenice to be released ... yay!

Wing Fenice is out on sale already, FYI. And yeah, no AGE yet, even with episode 11.

I'm pretty sure that in Sei's display in the shop there aren't any AGE models.
