Good visual effects, atmosphere, dark subject matter, etc. Mark Musashi and Gorou-chan. Solid 4 out of 5.

Watched this years ago and just the fact that I don't remember it being good but also don't remember it being bad, I'm giving it a 3.

I loved the mood and the fight scenes, but the plot didn't have any sense for me. I don't know if it actually doesn't have much sense of I just didn't get it. I should watch it again.
BTW, I've read somewhere that this is based in a manga, but I can't find even a single illustration of it. Is it true?

I think it's the other way around. They did the show and then adapted it to a manga version. I own a copy so it's definitely real.
