I like the series. It's so much more than Pokemon/Digimon. It has great characters and storyline. So have you watched the entire series or wondering why people watch it in its entirely?

That is seriously false stereotyping...
Japan has assloaded of shows with monster partners...it isnt just Pokemon and Digimon...besides..the Demons in Onmyou Taisenki and crush their asses anyday!
Plus theres not a ton of Shikigami of one type on Onmyou Taisenki unlike Digimon and Pokemon, just 3 members of each clan.

I've seen it and enjoyed them esp at the end, I was just wondering if anyone else watched it and their feelings on it.

I like it. Just finished it after midnight of new year eve. It had a slow start but picked up about 1/3 way through.

I had some tears moment near end of the series.

I would love to get that wolf shikigami. I felt bad for him following Taim(something) to the end. At least I think he is a wolf.

I liked this one and Digimon a lot better than Pokemon due to their deeper storyline and theme.

And for some reason this one and Digimon doesn't receive much love in US. I wish this one or Digimon become more popular than Pokemon so that I can have their creatures in popular Nintendo games instead of Pika.

Anyhow, I was surprised to see the villain was actually a good guy at first. I know that happens in other stories but it's a different feeling in this one.

I was little sad at the end.

It remind me of Ryukendo, the bond between partners.

I hate to ask but for whole series I was wondering what does Onmyou Taisenki means? <_<; Did I miss the explanation at beginning or what?

Taisenki = chronicles
Onmyou is the main theme of the show. You know all that magic stuff they do, it's kind of like that. It's related to Feng Shui if that helps, although it might not XD

lol, the first link to onmyou on google is Onmyou Taisenki. Awesome. Anyway, this link probably explains onmyou better than I can:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Onmyodo

Anyway, the title means "Chronicles of Onmyou"

One of my favorite, if not my number 1, year long anime of recent memory, I really loved this show, not only for the character design but for how they really balanced out each of the three factions as well as the power of the main characters.
Also Onmyou Taisenki can also be read as "chronicles of the great ying-yang war" am I right Take? since Taisenki is drived from Taisen meaning "war".
I also read the manga and yeah its pretty different from the anime.

Onmyou is a bit more complicated than yin-yang, but yeah, I was originally going to translate the title as Chronicles of Onmyou.

How was the manga? I hear it's about Yakumo, but is it in the same universe as the anime?

I have read some of the manga and I think it can be in the same universe as a prequel to the anime. If I remember correctly, Kogena did mention that he did fight with Yakumo as his shinigami in the past. Also Yakumo is about the same age as Riku in the manga compared to the anime where he's a young adult.

the manga is more or less in the same universe, however there wern't any clans in the manga, the TouJinki [round devices] are common, and there are some inconsistances, for example The Toujinshi in the manga name their shiningami [although Gassen said that his sister named Kiba in the anime] and the penatiy for being defeated is lessened to not being able to call on that shinigami anymore. Also time travel's promentent [the Pillar of Time in the last episode played an importent part in the manga]....
Actually just read it Take |B;

Edit: fixed link, also will try to make a write up for the series later when i get time since i just finished it again last month.

I, for one, did NOT like the series.........I FREAKIN' LOVED IT!!! It's like one of the greatest freakin' animes ever made! I loved it, loved it, loved it! When I finished watching the show, and reading the manga, I was left with a void that I tried to fill with fanfictions and fanart. Unbeknownst to me, 90 PERCENT OF THAT STUFF WAS YAOI!!! WHAT THE HECK?!?! SERIOUSLY!!! KOGENTA AND RIKU ARE JUST FRIENDS!!! WHO THE HECK EVEN THOUGHT FOR A SECOND THAT THEY COULD BE MORE THAN THAT?!?! GAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!

*6 to 8 hours later*

Um...*clears throat*, ANYWAYS, It was good...unfortunately, it wasn't that popular in Japan, so it never made it to America, which means it was never dubbed (like 80 percent of the anime in Japan is), and they never made a movie, or any OVA's..... ;_;
Seriously, people don't know what they're missing.

I just finished episode 27 and I don't think I have laughed this much at an anime in I don't know how long. I loved Riku's dream it was sooooo funny. My favorite part was probably when
