3000 Releases and counting

Post by XIII »

So we have reached that epic milestone; well not really epic, but its a big round number in the form of 3000.

Now while this may sound like a large value, you have to keep in mind the group is nearly 10 years old, so on average that is 300 release per year. Well I guess that is a lot really at nearly 1 release a day.

We have over the years always tried to do something big to mark certain release numbers, mostly with shock releases where possible or sub something that has been missing from the back cat such as specials and films, or just simple one off productions. There has been a few instances where the numbers shifted when Jonty was cleaning up the release list, so where we had thought we hit a number with a release, we kinda overshot, but the sentiment is still there for it.

So to show what we have done over the years for special number release, I have gone through the release list and highlighting some of them to show what kinda of stuff we have thought would be good for these points.

900 - Garo 25 Originally before the recount, so Garo 24 takes its place
1000 - Was Kamen Rider The First before the recount. Sh15yua 1 takes its place; still a great way to celebrate a big number
1600 - Go-Onger 1 ended up with this number after the recount. Kinda by accident it happened, but its neat that it takes its place here
2000 - Kamen Rider Blade Movie DC originally before the recount. Tomica Hero Rescue Fire Meeting took its place,
2100 - Fuuma Stage Show
2200 - Kamen Rider Kuuga 1-2 DC
2300 - Wangan Midnight Movie
2400 - Kamen Rider Den-O Talk Show
2500 - Dogu-Chan 1
2600 - Death Game Park
2900 - Go-Buster 1. completely by chance this was, but a fitting way to mark that number
3000 - Kamen Rider Ryuki Movie TC

For 3000 we kinda left it to the last minute to get something done for this number, so with the help of Hariken (who provided the Blu-Ray for this), a few of us set about getting Episode Final TC done, which hasnt been an easy task given the short amount of time to do it. Less than a week, where normally something like this would probably take a month to process fully in a relaxed kind of manor.

Maybe we will plan out the next major numbers, or maybe not; it depends on how organized we plan to be, which isn't all that often.

And here's to another 3000 releases with any luck. Oh, it apparently took us just a little over 3 years to crank out a 1000 releases.
