Naming computers and SSIDs after Japanese shows

Post by TorchWood »

I'm just wondering if anyone else names their computer IDs or wireless SSIDs after Japanese shows. My desktop machine is named Lain while my Laptop is named Navi (and not the bird). My SSID is named Gokai Galleon. My cell phones bluetooth ID is Wrister.

Anyone else?

Well my PS3 is Phillip-kun, the laptop is Shun, netbook is Ahim, external #1 is Jii, external #2 is Luka, and external #3 is Ucchii.

Sooo not shows per se, but characters.

Not really. I named my two Fallout 3 characters Jack and Rose (after MGS2) and so that name continued on into Rose Shephard and another Rose on Demon Souls. Otherwise I tend to name game characters takenoko. Like this computer's name is takenoko-pc. Creativity has never been exactly my strong suit.

All my computers and externals are given the model numbers of fictitious mecha.

My 'big computer' (it's technically a laptop but it's a beefy ex-gaming laptop and since the battery went he never leaves my desk) is Messiah, my 12.5 netbook is Enter and the flashdrive I keep all of my school work on is Escape. My husband's big computer is Marvelous while his netbook is Ankh. Our shared 2nd gen iPod is GokaiBlack, and the external hard drive that holds all of our media is named Teddie (after the character from Persona 4, actually, and not the Imagin from New Den-O XD). I think that's it.
