That's the side that came into contact with said microbes.

It sucks that we have this pandemic happening. My local university had to go into online schooling for a good while so yay I get to stay home, but I won't be going anywhere else since places are closing so not much to do if I need a break from my studies and get something important

Are you using surgical masks used mostly by medical staffs in hospitals?

They're not medical-grade, they're honestly mostly a placebo effect, but they do help keep other people from getting sick if you're already sick.

Yeah. Just telling takenoko that if he has a box of these masks, he can't flip inside out and wash then reuse one. These masks last for 8 hours at most per day if using one.

I found out yesterday that this annual con I tend to go to in Boston canceled their time this year. As understanding as I am, I can't deny being a teeny bit disappointed. I really had my heart set on meeting Takahashi Minami (seiyuu), y'know. Ah well. I'm still gonna finish my cosplays, anyway. No sense in letting it all go to waste.

I was at work at Shaws on Friday for a shift and when I arrived to do carryout, there were flat zero shopping carts; which is a pain but it happens sometimes and usually, I can fix it. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to dig out of the hole that time because there were just so many people. Every time I got a cart to bring it back to the collecting spot, I had roughly 3 more customers asking to use it. Or how I had to circle around the parking lot multiple times trying to find carts for people that weren't being used. It was crazy. Since I transferred over to that location, I'd never had that happen before.

Some of the stuff I overheard from the customers was something, though. One person was chatting with someone else as he was walking in, all "This is the best thing to happen to these markets", Person B: "What is?", Person A: "The virus!". Or, others saying that the shelving was bare and/or that all of the water in the store was gone because it had been bought. (I hadn't checked if the water thing was true but from the tiny bit of time I was inside the store, the shelving still looked like it had stuff on it? Maybe I didn't look at the right shelves, though).

I don't really understand the panic buying of water. The apocalypse isn't happening. Normal water treatment plants aren't closing.

Is the US region also on high alert of drinking tap water? Lead can be found on tap water due to pipes aging. That might be the panic of buying water.

I've lost count on the amount of events that have been cancelled. On top of other events being delayed

I've finished school, but I hope our government decides to close down the schools in my country. They are not taking this problem seriously AT ALL, and not closing down schools is just one of the problems.

As for myself- I like sports, so I'm bummed for the fact that most major sporting events are off now. Nothing new to watch!

Edit: Within a couple hours of posting this, the government all educational institutions in the country to be closed down for a couple weeks. Did I write it into existence??

I'm surprised they haven't cancelled the Olympics officially yet. I guess they are hoping it's blown over by then?
