I wish they would have told us which brand name products they tested.

I was looking at an auxiliary article's graph. According their findings, sugar usage began declining in 1975 until 1986 while HFCS was climbing high. They are about even now.

Btw, don't eat Quaker Oatmeal to Go. It's got lots.

The way it works is, you need a little bit of everything and there's a fine balance because 'too much' will kill you. Like two...milligrams of zinc (I can't fully recall so don't quote me) are what the body needs but more than that and it starts to turn toxic. Shrimp is a food that has high mercury content as well. (Damn how I love seafood...) And I have to say...it's interesting how they included the Poison Control Center number at the end of the article...by interesting I mean a little over the top, how much food would you need to eat to get Mercury poisoning? I think you'd have other things to worry about before that happens.

We don't have mercury, GM or some dodgy chemical stuff in corp syurp products, though we do have loads of E numbers in a whole bunch of chocolates and sweets/candy.

Reminds me of that White Rabbit scare and that Cadbury's chocolate panic back recently...

Well, mercury's kind of a different category than just zinc. Like I eat food off the ground all the time, so it's not like I'm super squemish about things.
