Question about females in Kamen Rider and Super Sentai

(I didn't know where to put this so I apologize if I posted it in the wrong place.)

I have a question. Why is it that some of the females in both series are former or still Gravure Idols? I dont want to sound whiny and I personaly love it but I kind of think its strange. Because Tokusatsu is for kids right? Would the parents like it if they found out that they're kid is watching a show with a former swimsuit model? I dont know how it is in Japan but in the States people would tripp they're asses off. I personaly have no problems with it and I love it that these women get a chance in acting. I just wanna know the reason why. Thanks in advance!

To answer your question NH451, pretty women are more enticing than ugly ones.

Also, Japanese parents are less critical of what their children watch. Hence the reason why you see certain things on their TV than American TV, not to say that Japanese parent never complain. Power Rangers needs to get more supermodels. Viewership would finally go up more than twice in a season if they did.

Sounds probable, whenever we see a successful actress, or even those in sentai and KR, they always seem to do one of those modeling dvds. The ones that follow them round an "average" day, and have them pose and pout everywhere they go.

If you find gravure idols in kid shows interesting, take a gander at Kegalesia(Nao Oikawa) of Go-ongers: she was a former AV actress. Go fig.

To be fair, there are at least 4 different casts of the Prince of Tennis Musicals, quite a few containing 20+ guys. Both toku and the Tenipuri Myus have a tendency to take their actors from the D-Boys group recently, so it's not surprising that so many actors have previous experiences with the myus.

I think they are starting to do that in Power Rangers. Some of the girls are just to die for! But anyway, Japanese girls beat them all the way!
