Teamspeak server!!

Right. I took it upon me to set up a Teamspeak server for chattering purposes.
Grab a client, a good mic and connect to

antivita.mine.nu:57015

You can pick any nickname you like until the server specifies otherwise.
Once you connect, you'll enter a hub.
Jump to the TV-Nihon channel from there.
There are some other channels on there, but they are dutch.

I'm still working out a proper structure, perhaps different servers.
Anyway, connect, stress test, enjoy, etc.
Report any feedback here.

I would rather just use skype, get the names of everyone and talk there.

FYI my name at this place is the same as it is there.

Yes, there is skype too, but this takes way less resources and bandwidth and requires no account.
TS is just simple and doesn't get in your way. Also, it has push to talk.

When you go to download the client, there is an installer and a seperate executable.
Run the installer and when it's finished, drop the seperate(newer) executable on top of the old one, let it overwrite.

So start up the TS client, hit connect and a new window will pop up.
Right-click the big empty space on the left and pick "add".

Then enter like this

Make sure you connect as anonymous with just your nickname.
Once connected I'll register you.

Also, make sure you you know to set your input volume in Windows.

Just calling to say that I nuked the server.
That is, I've taken it offline.

The ISP pulled the bigass line(120/10) that was powering it.
Also, the TS software is kinda....outdated.

So if people still want to chatter, try any of the other alternatives, such as Skype or Ventrilo or MSN or whatever.

The moral o0f this story is that when you have an IRC chat room just use that instead of TeamSpeak.
