Which way is she spinning?

So I was looking at this picture earlier and trying to figure out how it worked. It seems kind of interesting because which leg she's pivoting on and which arm is outreached will change depending on the direction she's going. What a truly marvelous creation.

At first I was only able to switch her directions by looking away or doing something that broke my concentration while looking at the picture. But then I was able to focus on just the pivot leg, and if I could get that to switch around, I could get the whole picture to switch. I don't really know if I can make it switch by looking at the whole picture, since some expectation will kind of force it in the direction it's already spinning.

And currently it's spinning counter clockwise for me, but I can see it both ways

im in that camp that can see it both directions. tho for anyone that can only see it one direction, congrats on being normal and not having a headache from your brain being wholly confused by what its looking at.

Wow, it switched! SUBARASHIII!!!

Most of the time it's clockwise for me, but sometimes when I blink or look away from the monitor for a while, it switched to counterclockwise...

I see both. I've seen this gif before. So my eyes got used to it.

I remembered being able to see it spinning on both directions
But now I can only see it spin clockwise

I learned about this from something in school...Seeing it one one way does not mean your normal(Sorry!). It all depends on what side of the brain you are using. When you are being creative, you see her going one way while logical processes make you see her going the opposite way.

Is it bad if im sort of seeing both directions at once making her looking like a lagged out character in a video game?


Okay now i got to go just clockwise, and if i concentrate slighty and let my right eye go crossed i can change to counter clockwise and back.

I know they say that if you stare long enough you can see both ways but what does it mean if you can get it to change direction without staring for more then a few seconds

That's alright rather distroy the world then save it. To me it's just going clockwise and up and down.

You can see it both ways after looking at that there. Also, I'd like to point out, anybody notice this dancing chick is completely nude?? Interesting optical illusion.

very interesting to look at, it took me a while to see the change but once i saw it i couldnt unsee it!
