Kamen Rider will never be high fantasy. We won't have a silly-suited man wandering across Middle-Nippon. (Until we do, and then I'll laugh and keep watching).
But a casting rider is a new avenue for them to explore. If Sentai can have various powers and themes, why not Riders?
Whoever mentioned 5 elements is probably on the ball for this. That's the most logical way to use 5 in a magic Rider.
I've been watching the original Kamen Rider, and after Niigo shows up, things reach level 99 silly. Mind you, it's the 70s, so it might not have been sill for them, but I spend most of the episodes laughing at antics.
Amazon makes me poop myself out of downright fear sometimes, I mean seriously, they could have renamed it Kamen Rider Amputations'R'Us.
Who says Agito isn't mature? I mean, besides Agito and G3 themselves, I thought the show was srs bsns. Especially Gills, Gills was all serious business.

I think Wizard has the potential to be awesome, loads of fun when it wants to be, and intense when it needs to be.

Well, there's always this thought to go with... What is magic but science that we do not understand yet?

eyes look sort of ruby-ish? I guess his rings have gems on them.

Woah a red rider, been a while

Well, that is not what i expected, i thought he would look more Gandalf-ish.

That said, i like it, the design is more in-line with classic rider designs and i am a sucker for tailcoats.



I think i figured out the gimmick, the belt is just a scanner, wizard will wear the magic rings and pass them in front of the buckle (which is hand shaped BTW) and that will activate whatever the delt does. So basically he is den-o with rings instead of a pass.

That is a magnificent way of doing the 5-things theme without doing a ridiculous driver, but my instinct tells this rider will only be able to use 4 rings tops.

i hope it is as good as Kamen Rider Fourze

Yeah, i am totally digging it, it looks like a more traditional heisei rider which is good in my book, it kind of looks like a cross between Kabuto and Oga.

Hopefully the series will also have a more serious tone.

The mask really reminds me of Hibiki. Anyone else seeing that? Otherwise I definitely like the design of the rider. I don't find myself being skeptical of his look like I was with Fourze. Interested in hearing the premise of this show.

This might be quite an interesting premise considering what's already been done in Kamen Rider and from the looks of it a darker, more serious series perhaps?

I see it, KillerGazebo, that helmet definitely wouldn't look out of place on an Oni. And I suppose the jacket is where Ivanhobe is getting the Orga vibe... Not sure where Kabuto fits into the equation though. The head-fins makes me think more Faiz-ish.

In fact, yeah, that's exactly how I'd describe it. Wizard's design is the love-child of Faiz and an Oni in a long-coat.

DAMN! That suit design is bad ass!

I can't wait to see this one in action.

The shoulder pads, hands, feet and the sides and back of the helmet look kind of kabuto-ish to me, not to mention the chest piece, but that one looks jewel-ish.

And the combination of the shoulder pads and the tailcoat remind me of Oga.

The face does look like a combination of Oga/faiz and zanki/todoroki, though somehow simplified, in its own way is kind of unique and fits the rest of the suit.

Taking a closer look at the photos, the belt seems to work for bot hands, there are indentations shaped like thumbs in the first layer of the buckle, one for each hand, and the second piece of the buckle (the one with the 4 fingers) seems capable of rotating in order to create "right" and "left" hands. My guess is that different types of rings work for each hands, for example left hand for transformation and right hand for techniques.

Thinking about it, this barely looks like a wizard-ish.
