Yeah Todoroki pretty much had it going for him. I guess Otoya and Sasword are exceptions. Hopefully they don't start a weird trend.

Kamen Riders can't really sustain relationships because of their nature. Even though G is extremely cheesy, that's a good example. The Riders use their power/ curse to save people and they sacrifice many of their desires to live normal lives. That, and they're really busy fighting kaijin.

Can you request me some good romance books? The type of romance books that draw my attention are ones that have a storyline based around forbidden romance either by danger or whatever. Please request some - apart from the twilight series, i've read all those.

When ever I, and my friends, see any romance starting between a Kamen Rider and a woman it is almost automatic to think "OUP someones going to die." Either the Kamen Rider or the woman. W has a set couple apperently which is amazing because as it stands everyone is (pretty much) still kicking.

Catastrophe have you WATCHED American TV? I know KR is a Japanese show, but my point is there is PLENTY of romance in kids shows. Kids comprehend more then you know, especially now day in age.

To be honest, I haven't watched western childrens media in a very long time. That may be the trend now, but when I was a wee tyke, we didn't have time for cootie ridden love driven plots. We wanted action, robots and guns. Lots and lots of guns. Girly shows may have had some of that romance junk, but not hardcore boy stuff.

In all seriousness though, if this has become the norm, I was not made aware of it. The thing is, most Riders don't usually have time for a romantic subplot because they have other areas that are usually developed on (eg crappy childhood, dead parents etc). I suppose the reason it barely exists is simply because its not the main theme of the shows. A lot of the secondary riders do have hints (Tsurugi and Misaki, Nago and Megumi etc), the primary riders are to busy being important to the story. Wataru is the only example I can think of that had any hint of direct romantic involvement (and with his dad being who he was, it really comes as no surprise lol), although some people seem to be keen shippers of Eiji and Hina.

I get the feeling that when it comes to Riders and romance it's turning into a running joke. Which is alright because it seems like an awkward idea for a rider to openly fall in love and balance a romance and fighting; Yes I know we have had secondary riders marrying. Maybe with W and Kiva it's showing times are changing and a main rider will have a happily ever after.
