Super Sentai production?

How far in advance does Toei plan the next year's sentai? Do they divide the super sentai division into different focuses i.e. one that focus on the current year at hand, and the other that creates the following year's sentai?

I personally think it is at least six months to a year before production starts(if not longer), because theres so many things you have to figure out and do. I can't remember where I've heard this but I remember someone telling me that production usually starts late summer or fall before it airs.

I would love to actually sit in on one of their planning sessions just to see how they come up with their idea's for the next season.

That would be awesome to sit in a production meeting. How cool would it be if Toei had an online pole where fans could vote on what theme they would want the next years sentai to be based upon?

Whatever they are doing it works, the last few years of sentai have rocked!

To answer the original question, I'll offer my guesses:
I think they probably start thinking about the next year's Sentai in late summer/early fall, because that gives them 5 months to toss around ideas, decide on one, elaborate on it until they have a full set of stuff, send the ideas in for review from Toei and Ban Dai to make sure they're reasonably possible, then start creating merchandise, props, writing scripts, etc., begin casting, start filming, and really start marketing.
