How did you get that number takenoko? from what I interpret, fans of Kyou is probably watching Gaim or Gouraigan too.

Re: Tokusatsu 2013 Three-way war
I'm watching all three, but it's too early in their run to say how I really feel about Gaim or Gouraigan. My initial impressions of each are favorable but I generally like to give a show 5-6 episodes before I start making any judgements.
Kyou is decent enough, but if it wasn't for the Spirit Rangers then the show would be a bog standard sentai. For me the biggest problem with it is that I liked Go-Busters and Gokaiger so much, they really showed the strengths that a sentai show can have. Kyou for the most part decided to play it very safe and it results in a predictable and slightly boring show.

Kyouryuuger is safe and boring? Really? It's not as if the Spirit Rangers are even in the show to any appreciable amount. It's fast-paced, hectic, it feels fresh and clean. I love the hell out of it, and I'm glad a silly Sentai didn't turn out lame and childish.
Gaim seems pretty cool so far, much better than Wizard, which I spent most the run of wondering when the plot would get going; already with Gaim, there's tons of stuff to explore and be entertained by. I'm intrigued and having a good time. Will it still feel as good when it settles into its groove? Hard to say.
Gouraigan is terrible. Just reading that first episode thread, it's pretty clear people are watching for the breasts. It is so far below the standards of Garo, I felt insulted and confused at every turn.

Someone that doesn't like Gouraigan too? thank goodness I'm not alone.dancercotillion wrote:Kyouryuuger is safe and boring? Really? Re: Tokusatsu 2013 Three-way war
I'm pretty much like Pharaun said, watching all three while still giving Gaim and Gouraiger judgements.
Don't like Gaim's rider design right now, yet hopefully it'll grow on me as long as the story delivers.
Watching Gouraiger because it's in midnight slot, just like that gem called Yuusha Yoshihiko hahaha.
For Kyouryuger, I didn't watch it until Spirit Ranger and KyouryuuGold episode. I'll watch the beginning when ep 1 DC Cut subbed.

I'd be lying if I said I didn't like the breasts, but if it were only boobs, I wouldn't be interested in the show. Gouraigan honestly has quite a bit going for it, I recommend giving it a second chance.

Re: Tokusatsu 2013 Three-way war
Out of the choices, I only watch Gaim at the moment.
Gouraigan's first episode turned me off and I gave Kyoryuger 27 episodes and it didn't click with me so, not sticking with that either.

Re: Tokusatsu 2013 Three-way war
I voted for the first choice, which is all three shows. Even though I've only seen the first episode of Shougeki Gouraigan I somewhat enjoy it. I'll probably give two to three more episodes to decide if I want to continue watching it or not. Not to mention that it is only 13 episodes, so this show won't eat too much time. I definitely watch both Super Sentai and Kamen Rider, or rather Super Hero Time. I'm definitely enjoying Zyuden Sentai Kyouryuuger. I definitely have a lot of fun when I am performing the Henshin dance from Kyouryuuger (I get bored pretty easily). I definitely like the first episode of Kamen Rider Gaim. I'll watch a few more before I decide if I want to continue watching it or not. But to tell you the truth, I have been pretty pleased with Super Hero Time.

I selected all three. I always watch Sentai and KR. I'll watch Gouraigan for Inoue, but I'm not counting on it to be great. I've actually found in general that most of these side projects aren't as good as the Super Hero Time stuff.

Re: Tokusatsu 2013 Three-way war
I think Gouraigan's worth checking out. I don't really feel like anything happens in the first episode. And I know the first episode thread can make it appear like the viewers are all pervs, but I feel like that's not necessarily representative of all the audience. The nudity in the show isn't sexualized as far as I can tell, it's just there.
So yeah, I hope people keep watching it, since I think it'll get better from 2 on. But if the nudity turns you off, that's fine too.

Re: Tokusatsu 2013 Three-way war
Nudity doesn't turn me off, the context is what makes the difference. In the various Garos, Horrors do nudity because it's weird to have sexuality juxtaposed with death and murder. It works there because it's just another way to unsettle you as a viewer.
Gouraigan is... well, one of the characters is randomly topless at all times. That's just really blatant pandering. If people want to watch a show which does that, that's fine. It doesn't affect me, and I'm sure my ISP will be glad to see the bandwidth decrease by a few gigs a month now that I'm only downloading two weeklies
