Well, I am studying Japanese, but since it's my first year, my knowledge lacks a lot.

Re: Spider-Man (tokusatsu)
I submitted the DVD rips a couple of years ago, so TVN already has the material to sub it when they are ready.
I have been away for a while & used to post on the old board before all the changes. I have a lot of catching up to do!
Jim.

Re: Spider-Man (tokusatsu)
Wow, if you guys do manage to do a fansub of the Japanese Spider-Man, that would be awesome. I wish you guys all the best in trying to find translators and editors and all that for something along these lines.
I've always been curious about this particular series for a while. I remember watching this great interview with Stan Lee about the series, and seeing him give praise for the Japanese interpretation of such an iconic American character was excellent, in that it has intrigued me even more.
As I say, good luck you guys.

Re: Spider-Man (tokusatsu)
I would die and go to heaven if you guys fansub this. I have been trying forever to even find raw copies of this and only have a few episodes mainly due to dead torrents. I wanted to buy the dvds, but I lost my job around the time it was released and now when I am lucky (or not so lucky) to find the set for sale, it's between $250-400+, which is out of my realm of affordability with gas at $4+ a gallon. You guys fansubbing it would be a relief because I know everything you guys do is fantastic. If anyone has copies of the show and is willing to copy them for me, I will definitely pay you for the blank disk and shipping costs. I'm desperate to see this show!

If you guys managed to sub ole Toku Spidey it would be the most "amazing" thing!! I've been looking for a way to watch this and without extensive knowledge of japanese i find my efforts hampered. To me this is the ultimate way to bring my favorite super hero to life using my favorite genre of show!! I'll gladly help in anyway i can even without knowledge of the japanese language.

Re: Spider-Man (tokusatsu)
I'll sub it but i wont translate it, instead I'm just going to put the script of episodes of monty python's flying circus on each one.
Sometimes it's best to just go along with it and avoid the explosions, other times it's fun to be the one with the detonator and an evil laugh.

Re: Spider-Man (tokusatsu)
what i would give to see marveller in action!
hey, he is the most straightforward toku hero for me. he just summons marveller and then throws the sword. kaboom.
it works for me. even though his web looks like a fish catching net. XD XD

Re: Spider-Man (tokusatsu)
I've wanted to watch this since forever. I've only really seen the opening on youtube "LEOPALDON!" and watched the Stan Lee interview which was interesting since he approves of the show. No reason not to.

Re: Spider-Man (tokusatsu)
I'm more than happy to help out with editing, I've also done some basic encoding and would be happy to help out that way as well.
Would really love to see this project picked up!
Seems like what we really need is translators though, anyone out there willing?

Re: Spider-Man (tokusatsu)
Most I could do is editing. I'm good at picking out typos and such. That's about all I can do. I am working on learning Japanese, but that is more of a hobbie then anything right now, so I can't translate anything.
My first sig, pm if too big.

Re: Spider-Man (tokusatsu)
I could help where need be, but I haven't subtitled or edited anything in the last 5-6 years, so I'd need a refresher. My Japanese isn't strong enough to translate things yet, but I'm willing to volunteer my services where I can.
