I believe 720p users is much more larger than 1080p users, and 720p users is also more larger than SD users. I can tell that from the tracker. 720p download went 1.5x-3x than 1080p download, and 720p download is slightly higher than SD download in episode release. While myself can`t download from torrent, so i depend on the DDL upload (I think many others download from DDL like myself). So I still believe 720p should be there somehow

that would only be after we get the Blu-Rays, TV 1080p tends to be a tad lacking in quality

For the time being it would only be movies, so we will have to base our final choices off of the numbers at the later points in time

I wouldn't even call FullHD future proof since Japan is working on Super HD, basically 4 times the size of FullHD

Yeah, but the official name for it is UHD(Ultra High Definition) Resolution and yes its 4 times the FHD(basically its 7680 × 4320). Its already been demonstrated for commercial uses since 2005 and its ridiculously needs a lot of space as 20 minutes of it would cost about 4TB. In addition, there are few FHD-higher resolution such as WQHD (Wide Quad High Definition), 2560×1440 and QFHD (Quad Full High Definition), 3840×2160.

Looking at the 720p and 1080p copies of Hibiki side-by-side on a "full HD" screen, the difference isn't as grand as 720p and 1080p rips of other videos. Since T-N encodes are always very consistent, the 720p movies would be the best ones to be batched in terms of quality vs size. Besides, DDLs are better with very large files than torrents where some seeders may have choppy connections or skip the big movies altogether.

It's Petabyte(I was hoping it is PteraByte) which means 1000TB(1000 000GB), storing a 4TB video would be a small matter.

Cool. Now I kinda want to see all the classic movies like Kabuto and Faiz in 1080p~

Also, do either you or takenoko have the TOEI Channel with you guys in Japan? I saw their broadcasting schedule they had a ton of shows broadcasted in HD like Kabuto or Stronger... they also had "Rider Heroine Gravure" lolololololol~

Currently we do not have any staff members in Japan so no one has the Toei channel.
