Ryuki in 60fps?

I don't remember where, but several months ago I remember downloading an iso for Kuuga and the frame rate was what looked like 48 to 60 frames per second. It seems like Rider shows from Kuuga to Hibiki are capable of a higher frame rate and it would seem pretty neat to release the HD version of Ryuki in a higher frame rate when you guys eventually release the BD versions of the show.

No, it was never filmed in 60 fps, so you'd never want to go over 29.97. The Ryuki Blu-ray is definitely not 60 fps.

But I just recently saw DVD raws for Ryuki that were definitely 60fps.

That would be someone up converting the frame rate for there own foolish reasons, the dvds would be 29.97fps (interlaced) and the blu-rays will be 23.976fps (non interlaced)

Actually, it technically was. It wasn't filmed at 60 frames per second, but it was filmed at 60 fields per second.
I'd expand on that, but considering the debate regarding you guys upscaling the blurays, it'd probably be a moot point anyway

I didn't know that. But surely you're not saying the blu-ray was released in 60 fps, right?

Not sure on the bluray, I'll give you that. The dvds were definitely released at 60 fields per second though (and so are the encodes mentioned in the post).
I haven't looked at the raw BDMVs myself, but considering they use the same masters as the dvds (just scaled up), I'd imagine the blurays would also be 60 fields per second.
So half yes, half no. I am saying the blurays might also be at 60 fields per second, so by that definition of fps, yes the blu-ray could be 60 fps.
But if by fps you mean frames per second, definitely not.

Oh okay. From what my software, it says it's 29.970 frames per second, so that's probably what I'm going with.
