How abt at least 720p HD Blu? You guys did deka vs aba with 720HD even though u said upscale looked like ass or whatever. SD is going too far.

Re: TimeRanger VS GoGo V released
I released the HD720 since you guys wanted it. I don't really see a difference though, but I guess it will be better at 720p video player size because the player doesn't need to resize it.

How abt using higher bitrates? The size is only 100mb different from SD one, so you won't notice the difference, xillieaxiiliea wrote:I released the HD720 since you guys wanted it. Re: TimeRanger VS GoGo V released
Weeklies tend to go for 2,000kbps (HD720) so I think the current bitrate 2,500kbps for HD720 is enough for a good ol' quality from Blu-ray.Smart Jason wrote:How abt using higher bitrates? The size is only 100mb different from SD one, so you won't notice the difference, xilliea
Oh by the way, xiiliea is not an encoder.

Re: TimeRanger VS GoGo V released
oh. I mean there are a lot of encoders using 2500kps for 480p 24min episodes. I saw over 1.5gb for 720pHD. Thats why i suggest. U know, u guys release Deka Blu EP with 1280*960 with a little higher bitrate. So i m curious that can I get time vs gogov like them??

Re: TimeRanger VS GoGo V HD720
There is no point to go overboard with bitrates if it just increases the file size and not quality. 2.5k for hd720 is already higher than the 2k we use for normal hd720. Maybe takenoko should reply himself.

Re: TimeRanger VS GoGo V HD720
Thank you. I was okay with SD; my only complaint (in the real Time vs GoGo thread) was that the upscale was called "crap". Upscaling sucks since it's clear it was shot on film, but at its worse I still thought it at least looked as good as the DVD.
In any case, thank you again for the HD720 version. Very nice. Hopefully, Toei does a proper remaster some day (at least they didn't try that upscaling mularky on Mega vs Car )
