Suggestion: for extra income

not sure how it, or will work but crunchyroll.com just did a massive removal of all video uploaded.

They say they wanna make only the subbing group post their own material and such. Their should be extra income also for publishers and subbing groups.

I know TVnihon had some vidz on there. So are you guys gonna go foward with it to profit from this opportunity.

we do NOT support streaming services, if you want to watch our release, download them properly, tis not hard given we provide torrents and DDL's

What I think would be cool is if Japanese media production houses i.e. Toei contracted fansubbing groups to do their subs.

There is a lot of material already done, and would alow them to have some money to have a few dedicated workers.(If this happens I nominate Take-san, and Zeldais)

I kind of hate crunchyroll. I think the idea of using our work to earn them money is kind of dumb.

"Hey, instead of downloading this nice high quality video for free, why not pay for it instead for streaming quality?"

Well, we didn't put that there. That's another problem, anyone can just open an account and make some money off fansubbers hard work, which I think is kind of wrong.

No, no. I don't like the idea of tricking people into giving us money. Worst case scenario: we put ads on our site.

The whole idea is that if people like our work, they'd send us donations. Our major expense is the server, and people have been pulling through pretty radically on that front. We could always use more money, but unless there's something specific to spend it on, we're probably not going to ask. The donation system is fine as it is

If they want to get paid do their own subs, the nerve of 'em...

Not entirely. They've gone legit and are only posting videos that they have deals with the original Japanese creators to host. So they aren't doing fansubs anymore technically. (They're in the process of removing all the illegal material from their site now that they're technically legit, but taking their time about it.) As TV-Nihon doesn't have the legal right to distribute fansubs, crunchyroll.com won't be carrying their material anymore.
