What video player do you use for playback?
So we've been having quite a heated debate behind the scenes with regards to video resolutions and how players handle the playback of these files. one of the things that has cropped up is what the majority of users here, use to playback the releases we make with regards to the SD releases, basically any of the avi files we release, the mp4 files would skew the results we are after.
So if you could vote with the player you use the majority of the time for XviD(avi) file playback that would be cool, I have listed the most common players I could think of, if I missed something just say what it is.
Edit: allowed you to select two players

Gom player or windows media player 6.4. Simple or complex, best of both worlds! VLC for anything else that I can't get playing

I use a few different hardware players (WD TV HD, 360, Xbox+XBMC) and many of the software players (Divx/Winamp, VLC, MPC)

Re: What video player do you use for playback?
none of the above, believe it or not. used KMplayer and it doesnt need any extra codecs at all like VLC. tried almost all the above before and none really suit me. for some reason using klite codecs and stuff or vlc codecs somehow couldnt acheive the clarity of image and sound which KM player codecs used. either that, i must be paranoid.

Windows Media Player with CCCP codec pack. I find it convenient and easy to use.

I'm using Windows Media Player with CCCP installed on both my desktop and my laptop.
Does that count as two votes?

MPC from CCCP.
If it doesn't work or whatever, I use VLC. Or if the default has changed and I'm too lazy to change it back, because VLC is fine, really.

Re: What video player do you use for playback?
WMP 6.4 for avi all the way.
Altho sometimes I do use MPC-HC for avi if for some reason an avi messes up in wmp. or to use some of its extra features that WMP doesn't have.

I also use Windows Media Player with CCCP, it never failed me before, so why use other video players?
