As well as wanting to be a good "seeder" I would also like to say a much deserved thank you to those who put their time, effort, and undoubtedly a lot of hard work into the excellent subbing of Ultraman Nexus! Along with its' "prequel" film, Ultraman The Next, 'Nexus was the series that sparked my interest in the character, and the incarnation that I think of as my Ultraman. And I'm very grateful for having been provided with a way to enjoy it again as I did when I first discovered the series online; without the various subtitle and picture issues that plague my dvds taking away from the experience.
I am also anxiously looking forward to the completion of my second favorite Ultraman series, Ultraman Mebius! I think that it has everything that both longtime fans and newcomers like myself could want in a classically approached Ultraman series, and I really don't see Tsuburaya Studios being able to top it! But I'm sure that's been said many times over the years with almost every incarnation.
Thank you again!
A thank you from the newbie for Ultraman Nexus!

We didn't sub The Next. The Japanese DVD for it actually comes with (not good but bearable) English subtitles. It's one of the rare ones that do have that

Oh really? Well, in the land where a good portion of ultraman is fan subbed by HK subs no subs can ever be unbearable. :: wondering how much the DVD is US :: Thanks for the info takenoko, and hahha, thanks for thanking them Raion to bring around this bit of info.takenoko wrote:We didn't sub The Next. It was an region 2 Japanese DVD, which is why it was strange.

It's pretty cheap. Just need a region 2 DVD player to make it work. But yeah, the subtitles aren't anything to write home about

Region issues are not big issues with me. Region free DVD players are avaliable in my area. XD Not to mention if anything else that i what certian software is for. Yeah, as of today my internet is officially capped, as of last week my cable stopped working... Not like it matters only had 2 channels in english. >_< Long story short, I have a lot of free time now, and I rarely go out.

I didn't mean to suggest that TV-Nihon subbed Ultraman The Next. I also own that film (Which is awesome btw!) and the english subtitles are actually very good. I was just relating the relationship between 'The Next and Ultraman Nexus, which TV-Nihon did fansub, in order to make my point to those I was thanking.
