"Tales of" Fans Unite!

Since I brought so many Tales of games lately, who here is also a Tales fan?

I've played/playing ToD, ToS, ToA, ToW: RM (PSP), and ToL. My favorite so far is ToA, working on my 3rd run through. My favorite characters are Guy and Asch. I just finished ToS a few weeks ago and now working on my second run through to get all the items, weapons, titles, costumes, etc. Favorite characters for ToS is Kratos and Sheena. ToL, I finished the main storyline and now working on the last character quest....that's been like 2/3 years now, I got bored of it since I couldn't beat a boss XD. Favorite character is Chloe. ToD, I just started. I just reserved ToV and ToS: KoR. I'm looking forward to play ToS: KoR when it's released States side this fall. I would like to play ToV, but I don't have a 360. Reason why I reserved it was that by the time I get a 360, I probably won't be able to find ToV. Trying to find ToS and ToA was hell, especially ToS since GC games are out of production.

I've watched the ToS animation, and I'm hoping they do another 4 episodes to finish it. Oh and I just found out that there's going to be a ToA TV series anime! Woot Woot!! I found out a month later, but heck, better late than never. It's gonna be airing this October and will have 26 episodes (according to ANN).

Gawd, I can't wait till all the new Tales games and Abyss anime to come out! I wish they port all of the Tales that weren't release outside of Japan. I really want to play Destiny on the PSP.

I really hope they re-release Tales of Destiny in America. I had a copy of it for the PS1 but... I think either my dad has it now or we sold it for some reason now what would it have been oh, that's right, we were stupid. ><

Only really played a little of ToP, ToD, and ToS but I'm still a fan of the games if for no other reason, real-time battle systems.

I've only played ToL and ToA.

Tales of the Abyss is my favorite so I'm excited to see the new anime series for it in October.
It would be nice if Tv-Nihon could sub it when in comes out *subtle hint*

Tales of Phantasia, Tales of Destiny I/II, and Tales of Symphonia.

I do have to say that besides the controls sucking, I really like the GBA port of Tales of Phantasia. Tales of Destiny II was the my first 'Tales of...' game, and it was incredibly good. Then I found a copy of the first Tales of Destiny for 10 bucks. I shit you not, 10 bucks. It's also really good. I just started playing the fan translated PlayStation version of Tales of Phantasia, and it seems to be good.

Never watched any of the anime for any of the games, though.

It would be nice if the ToA animation is subbed. According to Fansub wiki, Anime-Share Fansub will sub it. I would watch raw if I have too. XD

Yeah the American ToDII. I've never really looked at the Japanese titles, to know any difference.

I got my copy of ToD off of a friend that had a picky PS2. lol

I own quite a few Tales of Titles and have played all iterations so far, with the exception of the Nariki Dungeon and Radiant Mythology games. I like the ToD Remake for PS2 the best overall, I also think that Symphonia is the crappiest Tales title in history and always questioned why people liked it so much. Tales of the Tempest is another bad title in the series as well, the upcoming Tales of Vesperia and Tales of Hearts looks promising though.

In comparison to what, Symphonia? If anything Symphonia has the weakest story and characters in the history of the series. Hell, the games with the best battle systems are Tales of Rebirth, the Abyss, and the Remake of Tales of Destiny.

Actually.. I really liked Symphonia's story and characters.. apparently enough people did as well to actually give it a true sequel. Albeit with a new cast of main characters, but Destiny II was the same way. It's not my favorite game in the series, but it's definitely not horrible in any way... though it does feel a little too easy in comparison to the others.

Which Tales of Destiny 2 did you play, the actual sequel for the PS2 or the US version of Tales of Eternia?

I meant ToD2 I know II is typically reserved for Eternia in the states, but I prefer my Roman Numerals to make things sound more epic. ToD2 basically just expanded on the ToD story and gave a little back story into the origin of the Swordians... but with an entirely different cast, and cameo appearances by the originals. Symphonia 2 looks to be in the same tradition.

I got my hopes up for Tales of Symphonia 2, but then it was shot to hell, Misono Koda sings the intro. There is only three new characters in this game, the whole cast from the first title make their return for a brief time in your party. You'll be controlling Emil and Marta through most of the game with the option to recruit AI controlled monsters. The only one perk to this game is that Johnny Yong Bosch will be doing the voice for Emil, that's it.
