I haven't been keeping up with JF for a while, but I did catch the episode with RJ's first morph today. Good stuff.

Re: The crap called Power Rangers Jungle Fury...
Personally I've always recently felt that PR goes overboard with their morphs. If you watch the line of morphs in Forever Red, you'll notice a transition from simple to "Let's make a little movie out of this" (I'm well aware that Wild Force just pasted the American actors over the Japanese for the morphs). And they've gone even further! Now it's "Let's cram every bit of special effects on the planet to demonstrate how much effort it takes to put on a spandex suit and make it so long we'll only show the full length fullscreen individual ones once or twice a season". Sentai has certainly not been subdued with their efforts, but on the other hand they tend to know where to pull back. I liked the simple henshins in Boukenger, they were a nice herald back to the days before fancy technology made the modern stuff possible, but they also took a hint of said modern technology. I might like the JF morphs more if it wasn't "let's take up half the morph with fifty different poses of the guy all at once!"Deka_Hero wrote:Thats one thing i have always said the PR's did better than the sentai, the Henshin sequences.

Nope, there has been no new episodes since Aug. 18th, yet the series is still listed as Ongoing.
I know they got hit by the Writers strike (Half of the series had to be written by Non-Union writers), so maybe the Union writers are taking their time to figure were to take the series with only 7 episodes left (assuming JF will have he same number of Shows that MF and OO has, 32 episodes).
They better hurry, RPM Starts Production in New Zealand this month.

Filming finished in April.
Power Rangers' filming schedule is typically Koichi Sakamoto's Ranger Bootcamp in September, then filming in October - Late March/Early April, with a break in filming for the Christmas holiday and New Years.
I really want to know what the writing schedule is like. When do they start getting the footage? Did the writer's strike throw the schedule off?
At Youmacon a few years ago, Bruce Kalish, the now outgoing Executive Producer said that he started Mystic Force before he finished SPD. How far into the current season do they go before starting the next?
Also, there is still no named Executive Producer for RPM.

So....clip show.
For something that was very likely written post strike, then inserted among the strike episodes (Of which there are three left), it could have been a lot more jarring than it actually was.
It was no Koragg's Trial, but it was mercifully not A Test of Trust.

This episode was Horrible.
The only good thing was Theo trying to ask Lily out, and failing hard.

^
That made me lol.
I hope someone pulls her aside and explains that Theo wants MORE than friendship.

I was giggling over the fact Casey leid Lily. [/Is 12]
The past three years had ended with a relationship pairing. I suspect this year will follow suit.

after the long wait, 26 was just some stupid recap game show twist ... BORING!
at least 27 was better with the Griffin and Phoenix transformations

I loved the use of the multi-headed dragon form of Long being used as Dai Shi's true form on the scroll.
I also like the change in Camille's regular attire. Instead of her hair looking like a Cameleon tail, it's up looking a bit like Phoenix feathers.

Re: The crap called Power Rangers Jungle Fury...
Maryl And The Monkeys was a far better episode than it had any right to be because of its title.

It was quite good.
We finally get to see some real character development from Dom, and the growth of the DomXFran Pairing.
And some nice foreshadowing of the final showdown as Jerrod seem to take control of his body back.
3 episode's to go!
