Final day of voting. If it was midnight, the voting may actually be over. So here's some unofficial standings.

I don't know how take will decide the winner (not just 1st place votes since there is a 1-2-3 system going on), but I figured I'd put together some standings to show how the videos are doing. 3 points for first place votes, 2 points for second place votes, 1 point for third place votes.

The most important part of a music video is that the video and music work together to make a story, otherwise it's just a bunch of scenes strewn together randomly. Choosing good scenes that are interesting is also a must. And thus...

The hardest part for me was picking a third place. The top two in my mind were clearly Kadam and gearchi for matching the criteria above. It was hard to pick between gator and prsentai for third place, but in the end I felt like gator matched things up better. So these are my picks:

Remember the contest is just the carrot to motivate you to do a good job. The real reward is creating something expressive of oneself and that's fun. If that were the case, you wouldn't list 3 in any particular order. You'd just pick 3, ordering them 1-2-3 wouldn't matter. Take just mentioned deciding which video would get his third place vote (by the way, thanks take!), meaning there is an importance to how the videos are ordered.

A 1st 2nd 3rd voting system allows an overall look at how everyone thought of videos. It allows a video that received more votes but not for first to overcome less votes for first place. It really is a more balanced system. Two 2nd place votes is just better than one 1st place vote.

Maybe we should use a Whose Line is it Anyway system. Points are assigned by votes but "in the end the points don't matter" and take just picks the one he likes best, heh.

Since I was making an opening video for the IXA show, I wanted to make sure I covered everyone who had used IXA in the opening. That included Jirou, Kengo, Rook, and Spider. Also, even if it was the IXA show I felt Kiva would be a key character, just as IXA is a key character in Kiva's show.

Yeah, it was kind of long with no action. The music break isn't very long though. Maybe I could have thrown in a quick split screen shot to break those credits up. Lesson learned, I suppose.
