Though I prefer Kabuto, I must say I was pleasantly surprised by Kiva. At least later on in the series as things got more 'complex'.

What always gets me is how the makers of Battle Hero Absolute criticised it for having bad romantic plotlines when they should have taken a look at themselves! You could say that Battle Hero Absolute is not my favourite fanfilm of all time.
Kiva is one of my favourites. It has some seriously epic music and moments. It was also the first series I watched while it was on.
I think people don't like the Jdrama section. Which I thought was strange but didn't really care. If they'd shown kissing that would be a step too far. I don't like snogging in TV and films.
I also was extremely disappointed with Kiva World in Decade.
I much prefer Wataru over Ryotaro,I never particularly liked Ryotaro.

Of all series,Kiva have the best Storyline. That ''Love'' thing between Otoya and Yuri, after Otoya and Queen, the time change between 1986-2008.And the best of all.
It's called Nago Keisuke, this guy is badass.

Re: Anyone else think that KIva is vastly underrated?
Otoya is awesome and easily one of my favorite Rider characters EVER. I love Kiva, and while I don't really care too much about the fight scenes or the special effects - all though I must say that I actually liked Castle Doran from the get-go; I thought it was cute ^^ - I mostly watch Kamen Rider (and sentai) for the character interactions. And they were great in Kiva. (Second thing I look for is the amount of ho-yay a series has, and while Kiva most certainly don't have as much as Den-O, W, OOO and Fourze, you can still make a case where Otoya and Jirou are concerned. >_>;;/shuts up fangirl mode) The soap opera aspects could be tiring sometimes, mainly because ugh, don't like Mio at ALL. But the focus on the Jirou - Yuri - Otoya triangle was fun. I mean, I love Wataru a lot (and Seto Kouji is so d**n talented) but my favorite is the 1986 timeline. ... And the nostalgia. I remember when I wanted to have my hair done just as Yuri's... *shudders*
