Re: Ninpuu Sentai Hurricaneger 10 YEARS AFTER released
I enjoyed that, though I agree that there wasn't enough in-suit or mecha action. Also the boss was a bit of a let-down.
I liked all the references to the original Hurricaneger show.
So after all this time, Kouta is the only one who got married. I know they wouldn't want to clutter a special like this with unnecessary family characters, but with how much Sentai series seem to push (young) marriage, you'd kind of expect more of them to have paired up by their 30s.
So think they'll really make a 20th anniversary movie?

Very nice that we got to see this. This was the first sentai series for me (can't count Dynaman from USA Network since that was horribly dubbed) so it had a huge nostalgic element for me.
It's just cool to see how everyone is doing 10 years later. But I guess the movie didn't have time to include the mecha.

For the people who want to watch the series. Normally I wouldn't promote this in anyway. But, the HK bootlegs of Hurricanger were nearly perfect. The HK bootleg of the movie no. But the series. I'd say 80% of it is readable ENGLISH subs. And fairly right on the translations. Though things like their swords are translated as "Hayate Ball" for example. Unlike Gaoranger and Abaranger. That was like 95%... BS. If you can track them down, I suggest you do. Hurricanger is my favorite SS series, period. They also include all the bonus material from the discs. Except Volume 12. The last bootleg disc had a pressing error. And can't run them. The end credits of the last episode also freeze.

I dunno. I bet I could find some mistakes if I had my hands on the Hong Kong bootlegs. Are you sure you're not just giving them a free pass for writing in readable English rather than the broken mess that a lot of other bootlegs are in?

Re: Ninpuu Sentai Hurricaneger 10 YEARS AFTER released
I have to admit, I was able to watch the Hurricaneger TV series + movie, thanks to the HK bootleg DVDs. And for the most part, the English subs were readable. Were they perfect? Far from it. But good enough that I was able to follow the plot and dialogue.takenoko wrote:I dunno. I bet I could find some mistakes if I had my hands on the Hong Kong bootlegs. Take - I think you would be too busy laughing at the translations to even analyze it.

Re: Ninpuu Sentai Hurricaneger 10 YEARS AFTER released
I have Hurricanger, I'll see if I can get them uploaded here.
The movie itself was good. I was quite surprised to find out they were doing a 10 year Anny, why Hurricanger I'm not sure, maybe Abaranger will be next year! Lol It was interesting to see them all 10 years later, kinda funny seeing what Gouriager is doing now, they were badasses on the show. If you guys havent seen the season, I recommend it, it was a good one.

We don't accept non-TVN subbed show links.

Their acting has come a long way in these years! I had almost forgotten how bad it was 10 years ago. The kid who played Tenkai is a good fighter. He was also in Gobusters.
This was a good nostalgia movie..though we did get to see the three hurricangers in action in Gokaiger before.
Thanks for the great subs! <3

Re: Ninpuu Sentai Hurricaneger 10 YEARS AFTER released
I wasn't surprised to see that little boy again in a Toku show. He got to shine in his fight scenes in whichever series it was a few years ago and I knew it wasn't going to be the first and last time we saw him. This film overall was good as it was nice to see everyone reunited again onscreen. No mecha battle sucks but it's not a biggie for me. I felt like this film was more about the cast and not the mecha.

Re: Ninpuu Sentai Hurricaneger 10 YEARS AFTER released
I knew this is old post, but i really want to say this.
And there is obvious reason why they not is simple, the enemy doesn't even became gigant, why the hell they need to take out the mecha when the enemy doesnt do that? Or what, are you telling us that they should take out the mecha even the enemy is still on normal state?

My second disappointment with this movie is: no mecha fights.
What's sentai without their mecha fights? I want to see GouraiSenpuujin again...
TV series spoilers:Spoiler
Yeah, all their mecha blew up in the tv series, but that's not an excuse as I'm sure there is enough time to rebuild them within these 10 years.
Spoiler
During the Abaranger vs Hurricanger movie they already show that the mecha could be fixed already, so its pretty obvious that its not the excuse for not showing it in this one.
