Cool Pepsi CM that retells Momotarou's story released

Episode zero!

I love the visuals to it. The warriors look very stylistic. And the oni remind me of the giants from Shadow of the Colossus.

Sounds like it's a good CM. This reminds me of Den-O & Decade movie.

I'm surprised so much work went into a simple soda commercial, it's very stylistic. The commercial's got me hooked really want to see how this plays out.

I like how Japan's fully aware that weeaboos exist. "I like science fiction and mecha animation and I would really like for you to be my Japanese waifu"
Although what was that add about, is it an English-teaching app, international video-chat, what?

Boy, the scifi/mecha animation fan in that English learning CM mangled the pronunciation of "Akihabara". I almost didn't know what he was saying the first few times I heard it. O_o

Ah! So he said "I go to Akihabara." I couldn't quite make that out with the dmm stuff on top

Yeah, the fact that he pronounced it like it was "Ekihebera" doesn't help either. It's possible that he actually knows how to pronounce it correctly and he's just doing it wrong on purpose, kind of like Robert Baldwin as Ramirez or Mark Musashi as Peace/Piece/whatever.

It does make sense, though. And not just in the usual "you don't need to feed or walk it" sense. Japanese households tend to be rather small, and some places don't allow pets. That's why Japanese people who like cats go to cat cafes, where they can play with all kinds of cats.
