Wangan Midnight Hype Thread

So I think that enough things are in place such that I can make a semi formal announcement.

#TV-Nihon is planning on subbing the upcoming Wangon Midnight live movie that was released on DVD and Blu-ray today. Normally we wouldn't add to our busy schedule, but someone approached us offering to buy us the Blu-ray for us to work on it, and we cannot turn down such earnest generosity. Thanks Christian, and I'm sorry for reading your e-mail and forgetting to reply for two weeks

I'm a pretty big Initial D fan, but I've never seen Wangan anime or read the manga. So I'm kind of looking forward to it. There'll be a few familiar actors like Zeronos (Nakamura Yuuichi), the sick girl from The First, and Drake from Kabuto

I can easily understand the time delay. Its the holidays and you guys here are doing hard work. I personally can't wait to see this movie. I've seen the earlier 90's Wangan Midnight movies on VHS and they weren't that bad either. Just a little slow on the action.

Right. I just saw the trailer for this film and I can say that I look forward to seeing this when it's subbed. So to the TV-Nihon staff, I wish you the best of luck with this project.

Agreed. It will be well worth the wait, trust me. I'm sure the Blu-Ray version is going to look really nice.

Also Azazel, I'm leaving the country at the end of the month, so you will probably have to forward the movie to Korea. D:

I'm relieved to hear that you guys will be taking this on. The anime was picked up and dropped by about 5 different groups and the whole thing was barely completed months after the final episode aired. It would have been tragic if nobody picked up the movie, especially considering it's all-star cast.

I Honestly can't wait to see this, and with subs, It'll probably be worth the wait.
