Death Game Park (Whole series) release

Cast:
Mastuzaka Toori (ShinkenRed) http://ameblo.jp/torimatsuzaka/
Inoue Masahiro (Decade) http://ameblo.jp/masahiro-inoue/
Mano Erina (Some girl) http://gree.jp/mano_erina/
Katou Keisuke (Nago IXA) http://ameblo.jp/kato-keisuke/ (What, that was Nago?)
Ishiguro Hideo (Kai from Den-O) http://gree.jp/ishiguro_hideo/
Aibu Saki (Some girl) http://www.box-corporation.com/saki_aibu/
Sasaki Nozomi (pretty girl in flashbacks) http://ameblo.jp/sasaki-nozomi/

Oh man, I really love the ending with the girl just smiling you. Such a great feeling

The series was okay. It was nice to see ShinkenRed in a different role (and the others as well). Like I totally didn't even know that was Nago's actor until I read the credits. Although it's kind of funny how some guys don't really stray too far from their toku roles. It was kind of funny how quickly the extras got killed off though. I'm glad this series was short enough to keep things compelling and in the moment

I tried to find a layman explanation of the Inspection Paradox, but kinda failed. This is the best link I could find:

Basically it sounds like this to me, someone correct me if I'm wrong. If you're looking for a needle in a haystack, more often than not, you're not going to find the needle, you're going to find hay. As applied in DGP, it's easier to find someone who already has a card and take that than to find one yourself

I guess the top part is Japan, dunno what the islands below are. I'm a translator, not a geographical-knowing guy

Anyone want to take a stab at figuring out how this translates into cut the two white cords? Here's the katakana table:

The more you know. Do do do

Having just seen the First web-a-sode, I was sold on this and the whole "Saw" vibe it gives off.

SO had to sink my hands into this one, mainly for Mano Erina, or as takenoko puts it, "Some Girl".

True that the Extras got killed off quick as heck, but I guess it isn't too surprising since they aren't big time actors.

The twist at the end took me by surprise, and I think the way it ends works well.

Although I find that the ending credits is a bit woahs, with the girl just smiling at you as the credits roll on by.

Definitely worth a watch ^_^

LOL, I suppose I did phrase "some girl" to be as callously as indifferent sounding as possible. It's like "oh yay, I know all these guys, oh wait, who are you?" Mano Erina is in one of those big bands right?

That did remind me, what did people think of the ending? The Japanese blogs I read about it seemed to agree that it was ambiguous. I mean, obviously the Death Game Park we watched was all created by Kakitani. But it's supposed to be based on data he stole about real people. And obviously Shoudai is real. But how much of his back story that we saw was real? The chief was real. How about the girl in white? We can guess, but there's no real way of knowing anything beyond Kakitani and Shoudai being real people

The ending does make me wonder if the death games are real, and if Kakitani was basing his videos off that. If so, then maybe there was a real Youko who entered the prison to get revenge on the actual death games sponsors

I really liked Youko's character. Besides being saved in the first round, she really held her own in the game. She even got out of the hostage situation herself and made it to the end. She was the first to notice the G Hawk tattoo

Also, what do you guys think of the theme of the show? In the fiction, Death Game Park is streamed to people to watch over the Net. In Japan, people watched it on their phones. For you guys, you get it off the Net too. Just seems like it's a commentary on the voyeuristic nature of reality TV

I enjoyed it for the most part but the ending was a bit confusing. I think for the most part that the game is real and that the Daigo at the final stage is an illusion that Kakitani created. Why would he cross his picture off when he got killed the first time? Probably the Kakitani in the game is an illusion of himself. I guess Shoudai is still in prison undercover as a G Hawk agent and might try to get some information off of Kakitani. Yeah I didn't even realized that Kaitou was Nago.

The ending credits was well done.

Wow...I don't think I really understand what happened at the end of the movie.

I think that girl is kinda stupid for losing control and run across the death laser floor.

I sort of knew that Daigo wasn't a good guy, but ending confuses me so now I dunno.

Cool that the character played by Tori is actually a good guy...I think?

Wish I understood what happened at end of the movie, oh well.

Unless someone wanna enlightenment me?

Love this series. I like the idea of puttng real people into game programs and see how the game progresses, but I guess badass Shoudai was too much for a computer program to handle XD(that is, if I'm understanding it correctly. A bit confused by the ending XP). Matsuzaka and Masahiro proved themselves to be competent actors in this, and I look forward to Masahiro's future villain roles. He's really good at being one.

The ending credits is one of the best I've ever seen :D . I usually just skip them entirely unless the song is good, but this one...I can watch it over and over again and enjoying every moment.......though I wonder why this end credits?

I'll be watching it again later to try to make sense of the ending, and pick up all the subtle hints and details you tend to miss the first time through.

Explanation of the code breaking by harry_1xs_excessive. Rereading this, it looks like we messed up the credit for his name. Sorry!

I knew it wasn't a toku movie going in, but I kept on expecting ShinkenRed to pull out his sword and Decade to be more of a jerkwad.

DAMN YOU DECADE!

I loved some of these action scenes, and I think it was overall very nicely put together for what it was.
Thanks for the release TVN!

I've got to be blind. I was told by someone on here that all of Death Game Park had been subbed and was up for download. Can anyone tell me if it's true? I've been searching and am frustrated now. If it is can you just send me to the link?

Nice movie l liked the saw reference there; also I liked the tone with this one very dark and gritty some of you never seen in a non-tokusatsu film. The ending was really nice as well.
