Cutie Honey The Live action figures

Post by Skinwalker »

Are there any plans to release anything like this? I'd love to have some (even if figures of people without masks do usually look weird), but all I've seen is stuff for the live action movie.
In fact, how popular is the series in Japan? Like, Garo popularity?

I was always under the impression that the general Japanese person had no idea what Garo was.

You can't be Japanese if you don't/aren't:
Eat Rice
Eat Fish
Drink Sake
Have tanned skin
skinny
Use a cellphone for everything
Know what GARO is.

Eh, I dunno. Didn't really seem like it was that popular. But it must have had some following for them to release a movie and all those figures... So, I was wondering if the same will happen for Cutie Honey The Live (well, there's already a movie seperate from the series, which I think has its own figures too).

AFAIK, there arent Hanii figures right now. Seems unlikely to me they will release some after it's ended.

He was trying to convince me that Garo was popular. The movie was a TV release though so I dunno how meaningful that is.

Oh, so the movie he's talkin is Garo related, okie:-)

What can I say, the Garo ratings arent that bad, for being a late night series [it had an average of 1.71%]. But we also know this means almost nothing ^__^

Well, Cutie Honey was also late night. How were its ratings in comparison?

I dont have them, I just know the first episode did a 2.7%.

This VarietyJapan article says something on the ratings, though. It seems that CHTL was the show with the better ratings for its timecourse, which is usually around 1%.

cutie honey has been around for ages... it wouldn't matter if it's a late show or not. theres a fanbases for cutie honey worldwide. However the only action figure I recall was a 1/6 scale Honey by Takara and it was for the movie... the head sculpt was pretty generic too I hope they make a The Live accurate one with a head sculpt based on hara's face... I would jump at the chance to get one.

btw.. medicom announced Kouga early last year with proto shots but still no word on when the figure will come out. Garo is pretty popular I would say I mean when Bandai revamped the Souchaku Henshin Line they made The Knight as one of their top priority releases which is unheard of since SOuchaku Henshin was basically a Kamen rider line...
