Re: Go-Onger 16 released
Interesting, I learned something new.
I always thought it was something like "eh?!" or "erk?" that most Japanese would say due to way they moved their lips. It's like they don't know how to move their lip to form "r" or something.
I just thought she meant that Gunpei said it using incorrect grammar. O.o

Re: Go-Onger 16 released
"are" is not pronounced like the English word "are" ("r"), it's "ah-ray", and as in other languages, it's one of many ways to express confusion.

Re: Go-Onger 16 released
You're right on the sound but it's not really stretched out like that. When you say ah-ray it's kinda like "Ah Ray go away" (sound wise) but are is like "huh" as far as simply being a quick sound instead of a real word. And it's not necessarily confusion. Do you say "huh?" only when your confused, or is it also a lazy/slang way of saying "What" ?
I’m the one nightmares are afraid of.

I see. I only know one Japanese word for "huh" which is "oro."
Thanks for explaining. It's always good to know something like this.

Re: Go-Onger 16 released
It wouldn't be a bad idea to give Carrigator a dedicated partner... I mean, Toripter's number is 7, so I'm guessing his partner Go-Onger would also bear the number 7. It would at least give justice to the number 6.Cyberman wrote: Also you forget Carrygaitor is a giant race enjin and are partners with Go-on Green and Black !!!!

Maybe not, but much like Daft Punk they are a very shiny, robot-looking duo with one gold and one silver.

Re: Go-Onger 16 released
The new rangers are soo shiny, I think I may need sunglasses.
I liked the Go-On Mop that was funny. Gunpei's drawing was a penguin it looked more like some weird fish to me. So thats where those penguin-fish things on the last Nago Kiva comic came from.
I feel Hiramekimatsuri, or what ever his name is, might have a secret agenda, as he seems far more capable than the ministers to fight the Go-ongers. In which case, along with his body language, he reminds me very slightly of Long from Gekiranger.

Re: Go-Onger 16 released
^ Ah, yes. A little of Long, I can see that. I was thinking that he also begun to remind me of Doggie from Dekaranger with his body language.
(same stuntman in costume perhaps? what do you folks call those people with that type of jobs?)
But other than that, I really enjoyed having him on the show because his body language is just fun to watch. You can feel just coldly calculating and pure evilness coming out of him.
Rio, Mele, and Long in Gekirangers were fun to watch as well.
