Re: Go-Onger 36 released
What a well thought, scripted piece of excellence here. This falls into my most serious moments in tokusatsu shows. Go-Onger start out to be fun, hilarious and sometimes craziness sentai series but this episode made it to be dark, tragic, suspense, and heroic wrapped into one 25-minute piece of entertainment.
So many 'historic'' moments took place in this.
Ren becoming the leader which Sousuke was in a deep coma state.
Hiroto-tachi shed some emotion over thier loss of Sousuke
Yogostein shed out to be a true enemy towards the Go-Ongers
Fighting without their Change soul devices made it more real and convincing
Saki and Mio kickflip off Yogostein was amazing
Ren smacking the shit out Yogostein with frying pan was cool and hilarious
Gunpei show some strong-arm bashing was pretty fascinating
Hanto does some crazy moves on Yogo was frickin' sweet
Hiroto showing some boxing prowess was truly sense of amazement
Even they combine together using Yogostein's trident to finishing him off was not enough to kill him made him more sinister than he was in the past episodes.
The shining moment when Sousuke awaken from his pre-death slumber and challenging Yogostein to a Bushido-type duel both of them running towards each other for the killing blow but Sousuke got the last blow killing Yogostein was truly epic standoff.
This episode should have save for the last episodes to come but they did it for a good reason for showing this as a step-up of the usual Go-Onger fare.

Re: Go-Onger 36 released
it was nice to see some raw human emotion. Probably one of the best sentai eps I have seen. My other fav is when Jan broke his helmet in Gekiranger you ALL remember that.

Re: Go-Onger 36 released
Very epic episode you would think with all the stuff happening in this episode it was the final of the series but no it's just the final of the Land Pollution Branch and Yogostein, though he'll probably return near the actual final that's how these thing work after all. The new ending is pretty neat, though I would have liked to have seen a separate one just for the Go-On Wings, but counting up to 12 with the Go-Ongers is good to.

Re: Go-Onger 36 released
Indeed, THIS was a fantastic episode, with a plethora of amazing moments I won't repeat (since everyone else has said them). XD
Meh, if someone doesn't want to watch a series for such a petty reason as G12, that's their loss I suppose. Though I can't imagine suddenly stopping a series you've watched for 36 episodes. That's like what, 70% of the way through? (Going off of 48-52 episodes being the average for a Sentai series, except for Goranger which was like 80-some.)

Not those of us who haven't seen Gekiranger. :p I've been meaning to get around to other Sentai series but Kamen Rider is so much more intriuging... (18 episodes into Hibiki ATM).Tuss4 wrote:My other fav is when Jan broke his helmet in Gekiranger you ALL remember that.
It wasn't. It's actually very noticeable when he does his henshin right before fighting Yogostein...look at his hairdo from when he does the 'Met on. They really should record a new sequence so it isn't so glaringly obvious that they recycled footage.Kogashi wrote:I, don't remember Souske's hair being that pointy...

Re: Go-Onger 36 released
Yeah, pretty sure that about 10 episodes in they started using glue to style Sousuke's hair. It doesn't move . . .
I'm not too fond of G12 myself, it just looks bulky and awkward to fight in, but with all those Engines, you definitely want to see the gattai, otherwise you'd just feel gypped. I thought that the light yet stylish Gekiranger gattai were better, since those could move around and do complicated martial arts, but I guess with the car-style Engines and showy finishers, you don't really need to be able to move so much as hit.

Re: Go-Onger 36 released
Three episodes in one week? TV-Nihon Crew, you guys are effin' awesome.
This is the greatest episode in Go-Onger. I mean, giving an extremely comedic series one serious episode?
When was the last time we saw un-henshined sentai teams in their mecha? Fight one boss and partly beat him? Look bad-@$$ even if they're using pots and ladles as weapons?
I've also noticed Sosuke's hair. How much cement do they use just to make it THAT pointy?
And now we bid farewell to Baron Yogorex de Stein. (wait, y/n? o_o;) Well, you were turning out to be a pretty balanced villain since you came back, but now, you're gonna be together with Hiramechimedes once again.
Now, we need some Kitaneidas character development!
I don't get it why I can correctly remember their names. o_o;
I lul'd.
we need Miu/Sosuke! why not have it right at the end, you missed the chance!

Re: Go-Onger 36 released
really enjoyed this ep, nice and somber for the first half, great action in the second half, they could have done more on the Miu Souske aspect of it, but still a very awesome episode, its turned all serious all of a sudden, wonder if will get a serious ending or just a playful one
I dont mind G12, and those that stop just because of that are stupid, remember, its another toy bandai can peddle,

-- WTF is wrong w/ Gunpei... Banging his head against the wall. Creepy! LOL!
-- Yey! Yogostein's dead. :p
-- Ren sure looks scary when he's mad. 0_0
-- I think Go-on Blue would make a nice leader too...
-- Nice ending Love the dancing! Especially Hiroto's...

Re: Go-Onger 36 released
Ren should've backed up and rammed Yogostein a second time, but the second time aim for the head. It's just like in the scream movies. They're never dead unless you shoot them in the head.

Actually, i was disappointed with this episode, the Go-Onger's seemed more Enraged than Saddened of Souske's Death, witch did not feel genuine.
But that's just me.

Re: Go-Onger 36 released
I would agree to a lot of you that this is the best episode in Go-onger. But in fact I laughed almost half of the episode where Sousuke is gone they did not say Go-on . But I hate the fact G12 is around now. Its too much.
I laughed a lot in the ending song where the all four robots jumped for joy.
