Yay! More Go-onger! I can't wait to watch this!
Also, where did that pic of Dekapink come from? *is confused* Is there a Dekaranger anime that I don't know about?

According to my potentialy inaccurate calculations the total number of Super Sentai characters is 185.
Somehow this makes me grin from ear to ear...

If I hazarded a guess, it's from the anime My Otome, where the actress(Mika Kikuchi) is the voice of one of the main characters.zilimidori wrote:Also, where did that pic of Dekapink come from? *is confused* Is there a Dekaranger anime that I don't know about?

Hmm judging by the art style it looks more like its from the Gravion Animes. Or from the same studio at least. It could be Dancougar too. It's been a while since I've seen either of them.wanmoke wrote:If I hazarded a guess, it's from the anime My Otome, where the actress(Mika Kikuchi) is the voice of one of the main characters.zilimidori wrote:Also, where did that pic of Dekapink come from? *is confused* Is there a Dekaranger anime that I don't know about?

Re: Go-Onger Movie Released
Excuse me, but that didn't feel like an action movie. *walks away, laughing*
Now that I watched the Faiz Musical, every time I see Retsutaka I remember it and then sing the Faiz-Kaixa-Delta opera in my head. Crazy, yes.
Yay for Retsutaka doing the Faiz henshin and Tsukinowa doing the Deka henshin at the ED.

If you hadn't said something I wouldn't have noticed that! That's pretty rad.Chabii- wrote:Yay for Retsutaka doing the Faiz henshin and Tsukinowa doing the Deka henshin at the ED.
Also, I checked out a bit and found out the guy who plays Shishinoshin was Goggle Black in Goggle V, and he does the Goggle henshin pose in the ED, which is also pretty cool.
Anyway it was a pretty okay movie I guess, short, but at least short is better than to have it be an hour and drag on. Seeing Ren race around along the ground like that is a bit weird, but it works well enough I suppose. XD

Re: Go-Onger Movie Released
Whether I was feeling nostalgic for Go-Onger or my expectations were really that low after the movie-related episodes during the regular season, I thought this movie was pretty good. The opening sequence did a great job of introducing the characters without boring those of us who already knew who everyone was and tied in great with the Net Movies.
First note I wrote while watching: Umeko!!! It was great to see Mika again. I find it amusing that, with the exception of Gekiranger, she's worked with every sentai cast since Abaranger. (I'm fudging a little for the Boukenger cast since Chou Ninja Tai Inazuma Spark didn't have the whole team in it, but I think it's close enough.)
Other random thoughts:
-We never got an answer as to where Saki got the kimono. It's not important, but I was kinda curious. She doesn't seem like the thieving type.
-Ren's notepad! What a pity that got phased out during the series.
-Hanto is not a good nurse. Poor Gunpei.
-There's some nice irony that the three nicest people in Samurai World are our main series villains.
-Hanto is flirting with Kega again...and Gunpei has a priceless reaction!
-We've got the traditional "heroes pretending to be villains in order to strike at the real villains" subplot. A little cliche, but the Wings pull it off as good as anyone.
-Good use of the main theme during the battle
-Miu on Ren battle technique...weird imagery
-Gunpei, you are not in Magiranger so there is no reason to yell "Checkmate" after defeating your opponent
-Retsutaka's expression after the others get their casts and he doesn't is
-Sousuke loses his helmet a lot. It's a wonder he doesn't have neck injuries or something.
-Speaking of Sousuke, he has a lot of partners. I'm surprised that Speedor doesn't get jealous.
This ending rap just edges out G5 Prince as my favorite. Thanks for sharing that observation, Chabii. I knew there was something funny about Mika's pose, but it didn't click that all three were doing their respective henshin poses until you pointed it out.

Re: Go-Onger Movie Released
Actually, it was a friend who pointed it for me. I was making her watch the ED since it has Takumi in it, and she loves Faiz so much that she instantly said "OMIGOSH TAKUMI~ HENSHIN!" when he did it. Then I went back and recognized Umeko's.
Excuse me, but my right ear is now deaf.

Yea, and Shishinoshin does Goggle Black's Henshin pose.
This movie prolly could've worked as two episodes, but I really liked it, especially the ending theme. I have to admit, I liked this more than the Kiva movie.
