Go-onger #-man team starting number
This has been bugging me since I saw in the 2010 Sentai series board. Someone mentioned that Go-onger was a three man starting team but by the end of ep. 2 they had their five. All the promotional images and even the intro for the first episode showed them as a five man team. I believe that they are a five man and not three. What does everyone else think?

Does a series start at the end of episode 2? Your logic intrigues me, and I wish to subscribe to your newspaper

I agree, when you introduce 5 members from the start, regardless of how long it takes said members to actually get their member status (yay, silly episode-lengthening), you've pretty much started with a 5 man team. Granted, Hanto and Gunpei did take second-fiddle to the other three.

The lead three have basic uniform styles and their own mecha combo. The three of them can combine their weapons into a big blaster.
Hanto and Gunpei have unique uniforms/changers and a separate mecha combo. The two of them can combine their weapons into a big blaster.
The Go-On Wings also have unique uniforms and a separate combo.
I think that Red, Blue and Yellow are a three-man team who luckily got their wildcards pretty quickly. As opposed to the timing of their arrival, the style of their weaponry sets them apart in my mind.

Re: Go-onger #-man team starting number
Where in my post did I ever say the series started at ep. 2? I am saying I don't think 1 episode with only three people really means they should be considered a three man team. If you look at some others like gekiranger, would you say yellow and blue were a two man starting team? Boukenger the first episode was saying that black and yellow just joined so would Red, Pink and blue be a three man team?takenoko wrote:Does a series start at the end of episode 2? A three person team can never be a five person team!
