I suppose they wanted to make the standard "gun/sword" of the series to have a little more importance or power so that's probably why they have the Engine Souls inserted into the MantanGuns. Besides, they also put the souls into the Highway Buster after the Go-on Gear items are combined, so I think that's enough.

As for the episode, I enjoyed it. It was pretty fun, there's something about Green that I really like and I'm not sure why, since I feel like he should be really annoying, but isn't to me. He's very young, but Birca is right: he definitely has a fiery spirit. I like both of the new Engines too, I like Birca's look and Gunpherd's personality. Should be interesting to see their capabilities in the future.

Are we forgetting that Kiva has also shown sword and gun forms? And in Abraranger (whatever became Dino Thunder) one of the zords became a second drill, used in a combined attack in the first.

And I would argue that Hanto and Gunpei are core rangers, even though they joined the fray a couple episodes late. They were in the theme song before they became rangers, after all.

It's because RV doesn't mean the same thing in Japanese. What one refers to in English as a RV is what the Japanese call a "camping car".

Apparently Japan wasn't familiar with cars where one can sleep in them, so they took a term from America and misappropriated it. So the Japanese refer to SUV's as RVs.

I guess it got something to do with Four Celestial Animals? In some information I have read, actually it's states that the Dark Warrior (turtle) have the snake twining around the Dark Warrior’s body.

Dunno. Maybe the name just sound cool.
For some reason, I have always thought that Basilisk is a popular name for a turtle. O.o I felt like I have saw that name somewhere before for a turtle.
