Interesting situation.
Spoiler
Although it didn't really seem like Daaen's trap so much as his subordinates screwing him over. I like the thing Daaen has between him and Ishiguro

I've been liking this show more than some other shows at the moment as it just brings a nice light touch to bad days but onto this ep,

Spoiler
I agree i like the grudge between Daan and Ishiguro, brings a nice touch to the fights instead of just fighting for the sake of fighting

Daan's subordinates just make me laugh every time they do something stupid and the amount of time it takes to realise that they have just made an ass of themselves, major case of that in this ep, just love how they drop the resetter with Daan in it and they take a while to realise what they have done

Edit, just seen what you wrote on the front page, and even I didn't spot when I watched thru it,

I was pleasantly to see an episode light on the comedy and heavy on the drama. It was a nice change of pace.

Spoiler
-The Terra Resetters are made in space? No wonder why the Rescue Eye hasn't been able to pinpoint the factory.
-The suit actors for Saan, Shiika, and Maaru were especially lively since they got to more screentime than usual.
-The director for the show must really like filming scenes with sunsets since they seem to be used so frequently.
-Ishiguro becoming R5 is always cool. He seems to favor using Break Rope over the other functions of Rescue Breaker.

I like almost any scenes with Daaen in it. He's truly a tormented soul.

What a year for toku villains. 01 in Keitai, Mio (among others) in Kiva and Daaen in RF. They started off as good guys and turned bad or twisted.

I liked when R5 dragged Daaen with him into the fall.

I wondered if Daaen was probably possessed by alien or something when he went to the space? I mean, where did he get those stuff from?

I know he was twisted when he found the truth about human's actions but was that truly enough to push someone over the edge. That seems somehow too naive for me.

Is Daaen's costume design based on something, some kind of myth or ?

Daaen comes from the word daen, which in Japanese means "ellipse". That's why his helmet and the Terra Resetter's are oval shaped. I don't know what the uniform that he wears underneath is

That last outfit he was in looked like a Rescue Force "civilian" suit.

Good episode Daaen and Ishiguro really are on opposite sides of the coin it adds to the drama in the series. I like that Daeen turned the mistake of his subordinates into an opportunity to take Ishiguro along with himself, it certainly adds to the character and puts him above most of the other stock villains out their.
