One of my all time favorite anime/manga title going live action?! With Satou Takeru as Kenshin?!

Satou does have that bit of a soft-spoken quality Kenshin (as voiced by Suzukaze Mayo in the anime) has, but I'm having a hard time imaging how he'll work out the tone/pitch when Battousai comes into the picture (using the masculine word forms aside).

Hmmmm.... interesting... I guess he is plenty goofy at times to be Kenshin. Also, from Mei-chan, he did give a fairly aggressive personality which could be used for Battousai... actually, I think it would be cooler to see him as Sanosuke, but this would definitely give him an expansion on his acting spectrum if he can pull off the Battousai part well.

Wait, what? My favourite actor in RuroKen as the lead character? Is this going to be adapted into a live action movie or just a J-Drama TV series like any other manga-adapted ones, such as Nodame Cantabile, Moyashimon and Mei-chan?

Well, I think it's going to be interesting if he can pull off Kenshin's character well, since he has experience with Den-O in terms of changing one personality into another.

Peeking at the article, looks like it will be a live action movie.

I am having a hard time picturing Takeru as Kenshin, but I'm sure he'll surprise me. I do know one thing, and that is that he's a talented and versatile actor. So who knows? I hope he'll surprise me again.

Live action Kenshin will be fun.

I was just reading about this not to long ago Lol. I was going to post this in the request forum but I guess it doesn't matter now. So, after the movie debuts (might be international so no point in asking if it gets subbed) Do you think you will sub the series if it goes unlicensed (plans about that are unclear as of late)?

I'm a little giddy. I left the RK fandom years ago, but I still have a soft spot for it.

I'm soooo jealous of Takeru!! I'd kill to be Kenshin! He's my swordsmen hero!! I can't wait for this movie!

I just hope Takeru dyes his hair red or uses a good wig... I do not want to see a black haired Kenshin haha! I bet he'll pull off Kenshin well, otherwise. It'll definitely be interesting to see our beloved goofy Den-O become a vicious, cold-hearted blood-thristy man.

I hope Sanoske is in there, but they HAVE to have Saito. He was one of the coolest characters as well as a great counter-part to Kenshin. He'd be a perfect character to have in a movie. And if Tendou Souji (I forget the actor's name) would be Saito.. I think we'd have one epic movie haha!

If no one else does it, maybe, but with the popularity of Kenshin, it's going to get subbed by one group or another.

I wouldn't have picked Takeru for Kenshin, but I've learned to be surprised by how good his acting is. He can probably pull it off if anyone can.

Mizushima Hiro is epic in everything he does. Unfortunately he quit his agency last September to write (anonymously won an award for it too) so he's not doing much acting anymore.

takeru will dye his hair yellow and yell, my sakabato will make you cry...

they probably see him in kintaros form and think his act quite good to be battousai...

will have high hope for this one.
